I am sorry. I thought we worked hard to get Obama to win over Hillary in the primaries. I really worked hard. I didn't like the fact that she was FOR the invasion of Iraq, and is a hawk. She forces her way, and as the press is so gently putting it, she's a leader, not a follower. How could she follow Obama's direction. She can't even follow her husband's direction.
I do not like this drama going on with Obama and Hillary over Secretary of State. I do not like the idea of Hillary playing Obama for all he's worth. That's what it looks like. It looks like a grande dame playing the feckless young knave of a President-Elect.
I do hope that President=Elect Obama, if he finally accepts Hillary's acceptance, (has she pushed her way into this?) can carry his own weight and make the decisions, and let us know he's made the decisions. If he has hired her so he can hide behind her skirts and make the decisions quietly in the background, that's even worse. If he lets Hillary take the blame for his own bad decisions, he elevates her, and she's then in line to take the presidency right away from him.
This is not the Obama I thought I was working for over the past nine months. This is not the courageous, active and forceful knight of the new world. This is a passive-agressive silent and sneaky Obama I never saw.
Where is this man, and why are we being given a soap opera? This is a bad move, and this will be a problem for the new administration that it will not need. We do not need an inside look at Hillary's emotional ups and downs, nor does the world need to be drawn into her sour moods, nor do they need to be tempted into blowing up because of her highly undiplomatic tendencies and impulsive statements.
I think that this is a stupid move, and I am becoming sorry I worked for Obama.
