Yesterday i wrote a diary questioning America's dual policy when it comes to terrorism. One where America reserves its right to attack the terrorist camps to safeguard its security on the otherhand where America asks nations like India to keep quiet even when it gets repeatedly attacked by the terrorist.
On the worser side America even supported those nations on which terrorist had camps and spread their terror wings from...
I had quoted examples of Nixons policy and to an extent that of Bush senior which aliented India from USA and made it align with then soviet Union and later on Russia. It was during clintons time India and USA started to become close allies once again

In my previous diary i wanted the terrorist camps in Pakistan to be destroyed either by Pakistan Govt itself or by the allied forces.I wanted some action to make sure this terrorist attacks doesnt continue kill innocent thousands year on year...
From yesterdays diary:Bush is sending Rice to India.
If you think this is to offer support and co operation you are wrong. This is to stop any military advances that India might take against Pakistan in the aftermath of Mumbai attack.
(I have blamed USA many times in this diary..I love the people of USA and i am proud of manythings that dailykos and USA stands for...when i blame USA i dont blame the people of USA but only the policies of USA...)
Also dont make any comments before reading fully. I am not advocating any war with pakistan but i only want some action. I want either pakistan or the allied forces to destroy all the terrorist camps in Pakistan.
TODAY BARACK ANSWERED ME:
President-elect Barack Obama [Images] has said that India has the sovereign right to go after the terrorists, who perpetrated the deadly terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
At a press conference that followed his rolling out his national security team, Obama, when reminded that during the campaign he had said if there was irrefutable evidence of Al Qaeda [Images] leaders and training camps in Pakistan he would go after them with or without Pakistan's permission and asked if India has that same right, replied, "Sovereign nations obviously have a right to protect themselves."
"Beyond that, I don't want to comment on the specific situation that is taking place in South Asia right now," he said, adding, "I think it is important for us to let the investigators do their job in making a determination in terms of who was responsible for carrying out these heinous acts."
This is what i yearned for ... a president in USA who would preach what he practices...A president who would understand the nature of politics in other countries especially in south asia and acts according to the situation...unlike his predecessors who were driven by their myopic and wrong policies which were aimed at short term solutions but not an end to the problem...
Mr.President this the CHANGE i wanted...this is the CHANGE i believed you would bring in USA...You proved me right..The dreams with which i kept following the election for last one year...the hope with which i called hundreds of my friends and relatives in USA from India to make them vote you stands vindicated...
Thank you MR.PRESIDENT (elect) OF USA! Thank you!
