Sorry to toss this off -- I know it's not diary material, but I figured this was the best way to make this visible quickly...
I think there might be some sort of virus contained in one of the ads on the front page here on Daily Kos. More below....
Every time I hit the front page now (1:45 pm PST on 12/2/08), my anti-virus software immediately pops up and displays this dfialog, indicating a suspect file contained in a SWF file, which i assume is embedded in one of the ads:
Only happens here, never happened before, sure looks funky to me.
I could be wrong here but I think the anti-virus software (and my flash player) are both up to date and this appears to be real (at least it looks that way to me). Note that I only get this on the front page - individual diaries and other pages do not trigger it (so it would appear to be somehting unique to the front page).
If other folks are getting the same wanrings, please post here and let the system ops know about it. PC users, consider checking your virus software (Mac users, continue to be smug -- no virus warning on my Mac, I checked).
If it's just me...my apologies.

UPDATE: In the comments, several folks suggest this is probably just a recently reported false-positive (possibly caused by embedded YouTube videos). In any case, it doesn't appear to be so serious. Still, if you're running a PC, always keep that virus software updated. Sorry if this alarmed anyone, I was just trying to be helpful.
