What in tarnation is going on? Here I am watching MSNBC going over the day's hot news about Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's arrest. After showing Patrick Fitzgerald's news conferance, they began a discussion about the implications. Suddenly, Mrs. Greenspan alerts us to more BREAKING NEWS. I'm thinking to myself:
What could possibly be more BREAKING than a Governor getting arrested for selling a Senate seat?
Jay Leno getting a new show, that's what. MSNBC then cuts to a news conference about Jay Leno getting a 10pm show instead of going to ABC.
What. The. Hell.
Who gives a flying fuck?
After struggling to understand why Keith Olbermann spent so much time talking about this last night, I am even more perplexed why MSNBC feels the need to stoke the ego of its' parent network for something so trivial. The Fitzgerald News Conference was fascinating and he answered a bunch of reporter's questions, yet there are still so more questions left to be answered. Blagojevich was not served an indictment, only a complaint. What does that mean?
I don't know because now Andea Mitchell is talking to Joe Scarborough about Jay Leno.
Good Grief.
