Lately don't you need somebody, even a stranger, to tell you everything is going to be all right? I know I do. Here's a YouTube video link to the Sick Puppies rendition of the Free Hugs Campaign: http://ie.youtube.com/...
Every day there is some other crisis of even grander proportions that completely zaps my serenity. Today I discovered I have even lost my sense of humor. Killing time until lunch I had already read all four of my active emails, checked my son's articles on wired.com and perused the NY Times, the WSJ, the Boston Globe, the Oregonian and the LA Times. Without thinking I clicked on the next bookmarked category, magazines. There was a headline that made my mouth drop.
Supreme Court overturns Gore v. Bush. http://www.theonion.com/...
Yeah, I actually clicked on it and read the first sentence before realizing I was reading The Onion.
So now that I have had a good laugh at myself, I am going to go one step further. I will be the stranger who tells you, "Don't worry, be happy. Everything passes and everything is eventually going to be all right."
Peace.
