This diary is a repost of one that appeared last Saturday. I'm trying to reach as many Kossacks as possible who live in Michigan and might be interested in getting together the week between Christmas Day and New Years Day. If you've already posted your response/RSVP in that diary, thank you. If not, please keep reading.
It's that time of the year again Michiganders. Let's continue our annual tradition of a Winter Solstice Get Together.
From the comments I've already received, it looks as if the best dates are Sunday December 28 and Monday December 29. Some people have also expressed an interest in Saturday the 27th.
The Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti has been a popular location for our events in the past. Any seconds? Another possible location might be Liberty Street Brewing which opened last Monday in the Old Town section of Plymouth. (The Sheldon Road exit on M-14 should be open before Christmas, so it would be easy on/easy off the highway.) LSB has a smaller seating capacity however.
For those of you who haven't joined us before, please do. In past years we've had anywhere from ten to thirty plus folks come out. We enjoy meeting other Kossacks and toasting the season. And, I have a feeling that this year we'll be celebrating miracles more than we'll be airing our grievances.
Put your thoughts in the comments please, or drop me an email (found in my profile if you don't already know it) about whether you can attend this year. Or, you can email DTM too.
Pass the word!
