So the guy who should be in prison for ignoring Congressional subpoena after subpoena is accusing Barack Obama of not being transparent enough now?
Give me a break. For a man who couldn't give a shit about transparency in government up until the point his beloved God and Oil Party lost the White House to a candidate running against both George Bush and Karl Rove's style of politicking, he really does seem to be in quite a tizzy of hypocrisy (Not that it's any surprise for any Republican to be engaged in false outrage, of course).
Rove, a Fox News analyst, added, "He should have come right out at the beginning and acknowledged to the American people exactly what we already know, which is that somebody on his staff, somebody on his team, talked to somebody in Blagojevich's office. That's not the impression they left with the American people. They should have, right from the beginning, said, 'Here's what we did and here's who did it.'"
Mr. Rove, what in the world is possibly wrong with a member of the President-elect's staff communicating with the Governor of Illinois concerning the President-elect's replacement in the Senate? I mean, wouldn't you be interested in picking your successor in the Senate if by some divine punishment made you our next President? Just because there is casual contact between the President-elect's staff and the Governor concerning the replacement in the Senate doesn't mean that anything illegal took place, or that the President-elect or his staff was involved with Blago's pay-for-play scheme. Considering that Patrick Fitzgerald has said as much, you're really making a (bigger) idiot of yourself.

Sorry. This made me chuckle.
Rove believes that Obama's transition team should "answer the questions and be done with it. These things tend to be corrosive over time and this is an unnecessary distraction."
Wow, I never thought I would agree with Karl Rove on anything. Considering they've already answered those questions, I think it's time to move on.
Rove acknowledged that Obama's popularity is high, but said "his [poll] numbers will be lower than they should have been otherwise because some people will say, 'You know what? Why didn't he shoot straight with us?'"
What's that, Karl? President-elect Obama has a 71% favorability record, even after this scandal broke? Wait, wait, what else was that? President Bush has a 28% approval raiting, with 65% of the United States disapproving?
In retrospect, it looks like Karl Rove was probably Fox News' best acquisition over the past year. I mean, hell, when you're in the new business for out-of-touch with reality conservatives, who else calls 'em like Karl Rove?
