Slamming the Overton Window on John McCain

It's time that we fought back preemptively at the slime machine heading down its way towards Obama . (See Glenn Greenwald for the dirt ).  The extremity of attacks is breathtaking, but right now it's relatively confined, but it's a typical example of the Overton Window -the more extreme the attack, and the more it's propagated, the more something must be true.

So with that in mind, I'd like to point out some of the issues with John McCain that you might not know...that might help next time you meet a righty blathering about Obama's "Marxist" ties... (most of which is as distorted as the crap about Obama...we're not talkin' about the true stuff here.)

First off, John McCain is a traitor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he wore a uniform, and was shot down over North Vietnam.

But do you really think he didn't talk?

Really?

Because most victims under torture will try to tell their captors anything to please them, and with the North Vietnamese under the constant threat of more American attacks (Can you say, "24?"  "Ticking bomb scenario??") it stands to reason to any rightie that McCain must have talked.

((Truth: most tortured victims will give away more than their name, rank and serial number, but won't necessarily tell the truth))

Secondly, it was unfair that the Bush campaign smeared John McCain about his adopted daughter from Bangladesh.

But why wouldn't we expect John McCain to sleep with Bangladeshi prostitutes when his wife is a junkie?

John McCain's bisexuality is well known on Capitol Hill.  Of course McCain was one of the first people to call for Larry Craig's resignation, but that was because he was involved with Craig, and didn't want that to come out!

John McCain's religious views are not very well known, but some people say that he's Satanist.  That's why he's never complained when his name's come up in the same context as Satan; he thinks it's an honor, and this fact has been shown time and again in the conservative media.  Do we want a blood-drinking Satanist as president?

I'm currently tracking down more evidence of how truly unfit John McCain is for being president.  There's rumors about McCain having a secret relationship with Allen Ginsberg, his involvement in pornography, and other stories to track down, that when found will make McCain's ethical involvement in the Keating 5 look like Sunday at the megachurch.

And any additional leads/tips/outright falsehoods are welcome from any other reader...

•  McCain's Treasonous Past.

  He was shot down in Vietnam by "friendly fire" because he was making yet another successful bombing run on U.S. troops on the ground.  "Captured" by the Viet Cong/North Vietnamese and "tortured" indeed; McCain spent the rest of the war in the lap of luxury and treated as the Commie Hero he really is.  While living sumptuously in North Vietnam he learned to love the taste of children (only those under the age of four) roasted alive over an open flame.  He was quoted as saying, "I put my own 'special sauce' inside each one of them the night before the feast!"  Why else do you think he believes wars should last indefinitely?
