Thank you Tina Fey. Thank you for saying what Hillary has been unable or unwilling to say herself.

Saturday Night Live is back and Tina was the host as the greatest comedy show in history comes out for Hillary.

And the opening was a huge hit on the media love affair with Obama Mania.

All in all I'm enjoying the new attention to the inevitable Obama. I really do love it.

  It's painful to watch. I mean...I know it's fashionable to say that it's gone down hill - but it really has. Peaked in the early 90s then had a brief comeback around 2000, but right now it's pretty much done.

        Women have been trying to appropriate and transform that word for more than a decade. It ain't working. And that's why I raise the question - for all the "empowerment" you may think it gives you to do so, it actually is somewhat damaging to your candidate.
        
        I ain't hardly a saint. Some of what I write draws affirmation, quite a bit draws criticism. I try to be thoughtful, and I don't do drive-by diarying - Itake the time tor ead, and often to respond, to comments offered to me. I consider that basic consideration. I don't expect to be held to a standard different than others, either in excusing when I make mistakes - and I do - or in demanding that I perform to some higher standard because some of my work gets great visibility by the decisions of this community.

        Strong women in powerful positions have always been called bitches. Women without power who refuse to bow to male rule have always been called bitches. Sometimes bitch is just another word for "girl". Few women get through life without hearing someone at least muttering under their breath: "bitch".

        is that humility is a sign of strength. Yes, speaking up and fighting for important ideals is strength, however losing composure and coming off as a control freak, or win at any cost is not a strength, it is a weak and desperate character issue.
        
        When did Hillary do best in this campaign? Look at when she gets the most praise. . .
        Hint: it isn't when she comes off as a bitch, it's when she comes of as an advocate and shows a certain humility and respect for her opponent and for the voters. When she attacks either of those, she loses support. Why her advisors are telling her to attack is beyond me.

        Obama is the dismissive one, he dismisses her experience and her accomplishments and he claims he'll be better for women that she'd be. She has the record of cooperating with pugs on items to get bills passed, like those that expand health care for our troops. while he claims he can, but only shows that he's willing to distort her record so he can be the winner.         we've ben in trouble for years now, so that is an agreement here. But I don't se Obama dismissing her accomplishments or her experience, he acknowledges those. What he argues against is her judgement.
        
        Look, if Obama wasn't in this race, Hillary would have finished this thing a month ago unless Edwards carried momentum to NH...hmm, intersting thought, huh?
        
        That said, Hillary's biggest problem is herself, not Obama. I would have softened her just as she softened in NH and the other night. Graceful wins, at least this time in history.

        her war authorization vote, and he acknowledged in one moment of candor that he couldn't know for certain what he'd have done if he'd been there. I also was against the war and I even knew there were no WMD, he claims he thought there were some. I don't think this is enough to base a presidential candidacy on, I had better judgement than he had. And he does dismiss her experience, I've heard him.

        hopefully you have a cooler head right now. . it's been hours since I checked this thread and I want to ask you ..honestly, who do you think will win this thing? I'll tell you how I feel...first, I'll believe it when I see it that George Bush and Dick Cheney actually release power...and I worry that whether it Hillary or Obama, the fix is in on the machines that so many states in this country still use, including my own.
        
        I see the set-up over the FISA crap from Bush already with these commercials...some terrorist act or threat days before the election, just like OBL days before the GE in 04.
        
        And finally, the main reason I supported Edwards above all was because his favorable ratings were higher than anyones and he beat every repub in the GE. Obama and Hillary, and Biden and Dodd and Kucinich and Richardson would all make great presidents--my only concern at this point is who can WIN hands down with an overwhelming majority.
