ON April 2nd, tornadoes ravaged much of western Kentucky damaging hundreds of homes and businesses in Christian, Todd, Shelby and Logan Counties and injuring over 28 people.

Kentucky of course applied to FEMA for disaster relief for this widespread damage. Now Bush and FEMA have rejected this assistance application, and told the people of Kentucky to look elsewhere for help.

This is of course outrageous and shameful and another example of how nothing has been learned from the Katrina experience. Bush spends trillions on his failed war-mongering exploits, but can't even provide meager assistance to poor Kentucky citizens whose homes have been destroyed in a major tornado outbreak.
This callous rebuff from the Rethug Feds should now become a major rallying cry by all Democrats running for office in Kentucky. Bush just doesn't care!
