Anyone Know What Else Is Happening?

As we are still revolving as a planet, at least it seems that way - under heavy cloud cover so I can't be too sure that the sun has been moving horizon to horizon, I have a rather distinctive feeling that Bush's Tour of World Destruction carries on.

For example, is Congress up to anything important?

With that in mind, let me peer down a bit closer on the planet and see whether the rest of the world  may have stopped everything awaiting the returns from Arizcaliwanevtana.

Market says US economy still shows signs of a Republican in the WH.

Objective analysis says W's budget is nothing more than plunder.

We're still "winning" the war on terr'r.

Victory in Iraq is being assured by the reduction in the number of Iraqis.

Scientists working to ease the stigma of incest OR threesomes prove beneficial.

Chad waits, Kenya doesn't, cheap heroin, and SURPRISE!, there's some disturbance in Israel/Palestine.

The Court thinks it has some authority in Commander Codpiece's war against submersible terrorists.

Camp Kos, anyone?

MSG is starting to lose some of its luster as Asian food's bugaboo.

Those atheistic socialists in Europe may act on a moral issue of no concern to godly America.

Merseyside's Steve-O to captain Blighty against Swiss in Wednesday's friendly.

  As far as I can tell, a motioned passed  around the Stimulus Package in the Senate today calling forthe Sargeant of Arms ...but i do not think Unemploymnet Insurance or Food Stamps have been added to the Stimulus Package.

  •  I missed C-Span 2 today but I think

    the FISA amendments votes have been held off until tomorrow.
    Now the Stimulus Package saw some action in the Senate today..but I literally cannot find anything about it other than a passed motion for Sargeant of arms....
    We still need to call our Senators about the Stimulus Package ...we need Unemployment Insurance and Food Stamps to be part of the package.

  Elections offices across the state are reporting hundreds of calls from voters wanting to know where they can vote today. The answer is that Florida already had its presidential primary -- last week.
