Winning This Campaign

You love my diaries.  You tell me you do, with all your loving tips, and snarky comments, and participation in my polls.  I try to be funny, and to take away some of the ANGST on this site, and I try to hold your little hands, and make you all better.

Well, today, I am going to be more practical.

I just walked by a TV that had Bush's horrible face on it, with a caption that said something like "Bush's New Economic Stimulus Package to (do something miraculous, or something)"

Yeah, right.

Want to hear how we can win this year?

Read on, gentle toad:

I think a former President once said "It's about the economy, stupid."

So let's try this on for size:

"Mr. Obama, your Preacherman is an America-hater."

"So what?  Aren't you pathetic idiots done playing the American Nationalism Card yet?  If you truly LOVED your country, you would stop feeding it's whole economy into a meatgrinder, and see that the Republicans have made Europe stronger, and America weaker."

Get it?

Now, I need help from those of you smarter than me, and who have more time.

Can we help HONE this message?

This is THE message this year.  Bush has fed us into a meatgrinder.  We are POOR.  We don't like it.

We want economic LEADERSHIP, damn it, and the ONLY person who can give us that is Obama, and not just any Obama, but an Obama with serious coattails.  Not just serious coattails, but serious coattails with that special micro-fiber lining called a fucking VETO-PROOF MAJORITY.

(I know, a Democratic President probably isn't going to veto a Democractic Congress' bills, but you get what I'm saying here, wonks)

Let's make it happen.

And I want to see someone beef up this diary in the comments, and make it recommend-worthy.

I'll be kicking some major ass if you kosmonauts don't help me out here.

    He appears to have assembled a pretty crack economic team.  I can go on about the typical ideas, such as STOP POURING TEN BILLION DOLLARS A DAY INTO IRAQ, and NO MORE HUGE TAX BREAKS FOR BILLIONAIRES, but I think there's more to it than that.

    Basically, if Obama doesn't have the goods on the economy, even I'M not voting for him.  Let's hear HIS schpiel.  I am confident he's got one.
