Obama 55 Clinton 34 North Carolina

Obama regains the lead big time in this important primary.  The test is how strong an effect does the Wright controversy have.  Do voters care about a negative sermon in Illinois, or their economy and the shame of the war in Iraq?  

This is great news and uplifting for all Obama supporters.  If this plays out, no worries for the nomination.

    The population is more than 21 percent black--lower than in SC or Mississippi but still large. I don't see how Clinton overcomes it.

    I guess with this Wright gambit she's gonna cede every last black and go for the whites.

  another poll from a another polling outfit before I'm ready to jump on board the train. Or, maybe I'm not giving the people enough credit. Maybe they really did "get" Obama's speech. I'd like to think so :-)Coupled with the new PA poll, maybe things are finally turning around.
