My Obama Day

Another day, another amazing Obama volunteer experience... Pardon the brevity of the diary, but I'm tired and need to head to bed soon to recharge for another day in Obama country a.k.a. North Carolina
Today I volunteered to do more voter registration. Myself and another Obama person hit the NC State University campus in search of our goal of signing up 100 new voters. It was a gorgeous day to be outside in the Triangle, and we met with success, registering almost 90 students over a 5 hour period. While there was a healthy mix of new Republicans, the majority of students we spoke to echoed their support for Obama.
Tonight, I also attended the Generation Obama organizational meeting which BDA in VA referred to here. While she was in the back I was stationed right in front. It was a truly amazing crowd, certainly more than we had expected, and a very inspiring group. Two NC State representatives were in the house to show their support, and at the end of the night we had signed up over 200 volunteers for voter registration activities over the coming weeks. As BDA put it, nothing beats an Obama event for inspiration, and I'm glad those in the back had as fulfilling experience as those of us in the front did.
Time to hit the sack and charge up for tomorrow. Fired up and Ready to Go!
