Clinton camp online guru, Daou, gets job offer from Daily Show!

Peter Daou, the Clinton camp's online guru, has not had his incredible genius go unnoticed.

Earlier today, Daou posted this insightful rip on the idiocy of political pundits at the Clinton campaign's blog.

Every word, genius. And he is so right: Political pundits are idiots.

And then this afternoon, we discover Daou has "sent out another e-mail" touting Hillary Clinton's chances by citing... wait for it... a pundit!

This kind of hilarity has not gone unnoticed.

I have it on good authority that Jon Stewart has just now offered Daou a job as a staff writer at The Daily Show!

I have not heard if Daou has accepted the offer, and, since calls for Clinton's withdrawal are premature, there is no indication that Clinton staffers are in the job market.

Still, what a feather in Peter's cap!

•  Daou's "Punditz R Stoopid" email...

  ...had all the subtletly and insight of a Yakov Smirnov routine.  Not as funny, though.

  Note that he doesn't cite a single specific in it.  He just refers to "Pundits" in general.   And more than half his "conventional wisdom" bits are questionable.

  Most egregiuosly -- he conveniently ignores the many, many pundits who had Hillary wiping the floor with everyone by Super Tuesday.   There was months of that Beltway wisdom, all favoring Hillary.

  I think he'd be a better writer for that now-defunct Fox News "comedy" show.   You know, the one that was gonna bring down the Daily Show.

    A loyal Democrat who can't seem to stop praising the GOP Presidential candidate, while accusing her fellow Democrat of being a cheap, lying huckster.

    "Fair?"  God in heaven.  I hope Daou's getting a lot of lucre for his service.

  If you're going to leap from objective journalism or blogging to paid campaign propaganda that's fine, but you need to leave pretenses of integrity at the door and not pretend you're honest or factual.   Daou glosses over HRC's having brought up that bogus "commander in chief threshold" and why she said that McCain crossed it while Obama didn't. As for fair, that argument was put to bed when your campaign tried to change the Nevada caucus rules in the middle of the game.
