What if Wednesday comes, and I didn't do enough? [UPDATE]

Tomorrow, once again, we are faced with the "most crucial day of the election." Barack may win. Barack may lose. I'm of the camp that he needs to win either Ohio or Texas to have a claim to end this, and if he doesn't end it tomorrow, are we in until Pennsylvania? On April 22! APRIL 22?!

That's not what I'm writing about. What I'm writing about is Wednesday morning. What if I wake up on Wednesday morning and Barack lost Ohio and Texas, and I didn't do everything I could? How am I going to feel? What really important life activities took precedence over phone calling? What totally frivolous items did I spend money on recently, when I could have sent that money to the Obama campaign instead? Could I send another email? Could I have stood out on another street corner? Could I have volunteered an hour or two of my time?

Because this is it folks. Suit up! If Obama doesn't win Ohio or Texas tomorrow, we'll likely be fighting this intra-party fight for another 6 weeks! Forget about the polls. From this point out the only polls that matter are the ones where the votes are counted Tuesday. What can we do today to help?

I'm going to dig down and donate again today. Won't you join me? I'm going to make a few calls tonight. Got a phone? I wish I was close enough to Ohio or Texas to take tomorrow off and volunteer my time there, but I don't. Do you?

This is not the time for "bracing ourselves". This is the time to throw everything but the kitchen sink into helping Barack Obama win tomorrow. No more pessimism! Let's replace that with action.   She will refuse to step aside.  Remember WE OWE HER THIS (according to her).

  Her campaign will continue to push the Hussein name and whether or not he's a muslim.  We all know who's doing those emails and stories.  Even Hillary refused to REJECT the idea that Obama is a Muslim.

  Do you see the media going after her for not clarifying those statements?  NOPE.

  Shes got the media and the comedy shows supporting HER now (made them feel guilty - even tho they needn't have - Obama was getting his fair share of bad news (name, race, religion, no exper).

  The Clintons have never been for the PEOPLE -- it's been about THEM.

    the money dries up. The endorsement dry up. The superdelegates switch sides. Bill's quote about winning both gets played over and over. It's over. She suspends her campaign by next week, or she becomes Mike Huckabee.

      I think Hillary's chances of being the nominee are pretty low.  I also think she doesn't want to embarass herself, hurt the party, or ruin her stature.  She wants to win, but -- once winning is not an option -- she will likely do the right thing and drop out.

      We had a lot of good candidates this cycle . . . all of them dropped out shortly after it became apparent that they could not be the nominee.  Dodd & Biden needed to do surprisingly well in Iowa to have a shot -- once that didn't happen then both dropped out.  Richardson needed a surprise in Iowa or New Hampshire -- once that didn't happen he dropped.  Edwards needed to win Iowa or to have a surprisingly good finish in SC, NH or NV.  Once that didn't happen he dropped.  At this point, Hillary needs to win Ohio and Texas.  When she doesn't she will drop.  JRE was in the same boat before SC.

    because the one thing I have always noticed about her supporters is that they feel she's OWED the nomination because she's a Clinton and anyone who disagrees is being disrespectful of the party's king and queen.
