Don't punch this ticket: HRC-BO

Wed Mar 05, 2008 at 10:35:10 AM PDT

Al Gore was sullied by association with the Clinton whitehouse, ultimately this may have cost him the presidency. BO should not chance this as VP under HRC. He'd be taking a large risk just having her as his VP.

As soon as a Clinton is on the Fall democratic ticket, the Republican sewage will start to flow at full volume. They are sitting on the Giustra-Kazakhstan affair Clinton Campaign Bought and Paid for, there's a new item that's emerged from a right-wing canadian website Former Clinton Official Named as Russian Dupe, not to mention all the old stuff A Clinton Scandal Primer. Google 'Clinton scandal' if you've the time. What new muck might occur in the future, for "a tiger can't change it's stripes"?

BO would have to vet the Clinton's very carefully before taking HRC on as VP. Once in the whitehouse he'd have to keep a very close watch at least on Bill. BO should not run as HRC's VP.

  •  If Obama did serve as Clinton's VP (0+ / 0-)

we'd find out in 2016 that Chelsea Clinton was the real VP and Obama was just a figure head.

  •  Can somebody explain to me how Clinton, who is (6+ / 0-)

trailing in the delegate lead is in any position to make overtures to Obama as HER running mate?

That is what she was implying last night as I understand it...

  •  This makes people vote for Hillary, sadly (1+ / 0-)

While calling voters in various states, several people told me they figured Hillary would pick Obama as her VP, so they were going to get a twofer. They didn't think she would serve as VP, so they didn't want to vote for him.

He's got to say he's not going to be VP, and loudly, or this takes hold.

Worrying about what kind of attack dog bs that the rethugs are going to come up with and trying to find some cowardly way out of it is not a strategy that makes any real world sense.

If Hillary gets the nomination, should might have some history with the right wing that Barack doesn't have, but you can bet that the rethugs will come up with some rocks to thrown at Obama.

She has at least proven that she can take some shit and keep on going.

I voted for Obama and I hope he will wind up with the nomination.  But I will support Hillary
    if she wins.

What is at stake is the Supreme Court, and a long list of everything that must not be forgotten about the wrong directions that the Bush Administration took over the past 8 years.

If Obama decides that it would be best to have her as Vice President of the United States, the argument is over.  If she decides the same, it is over.

The fact is that uniting the party would be an important consideration - among others.

Indulging in Hillary hating is just what the right wing hoped it could foster and still hopes that it can win on.

We should not allow them to do that, nor should we fear their propensity for the ugliest low blow hate mongering.  That is what the Republican Party has come to be.

Democrats and particularly, Progressives, are made of light, by comparison and we shouldn't forget it.

  •  I would vote for Hillary (0+ / 0-)

But, it does seem to make more sense that Hillary be the VP. Think about it.

That way Barrack can continue with all the lofty rhetoric, and act as the figurehead, while Clinton, as VP, can do all the heavy lifting, and take on the republi-cons. Like what she has had to do for the past sixteen years, taking all the crap, and still slogging forward working on democratic principles.

The only reason Hillary hasn't walked away with this is because too many democrats started believing in all the republi-con bullshit thrown at the clintons.

  •  Hillary/Obama or Obama/Hillary (0+ / 0-)

would be the GOP dream ticket.  They get to use ALL of the crap they've been collecting for the past year.  And to most voters, the two of them are exactly the same: no foreign policy or military experience, half-baked proposals on healthcare (Socialized Medicine), and close ties to dangerous people (Bill Clinton and "everyone with a foreign sounding name").
