My Vagina Monologue

Just because Senator Clinton is a woman does not mean I owe her my vote.  Just because Senator Barack is an African American does not mean I owe him my vote.

I can decide on whomever I wish without taking their gender or race into consideration.  This is how I approach things.  Equal.  Not that the world is, but my little piece of world is like that.

One cannot tell a book by its cover.  I believe it. I try to live it.

So if folks do not like either candidate, maybe it has to do with other reasons than their race or gender.

I am tired of hearing that folks on (KOS) do not like Senator Clinton because she has a vagina. Please...I have a vagina as well. I worked in Corporate America and I have an idea of what bright, ambitious women face and the battles we have to fight.  Sometimes we may seem hard, mean, just to get our due.

I am sure if I said to some of you complaining people that you do not like Senator Obama because he is African American you would be right insulted. Or you may agreed.  It may be true, but I would not say it because I want to be pass that sort of thing.  I really do. And you know what, if that is true then that is your thing and I don't want to go there with you. Nothing I could say would change that course...at least not on an internet blog.

I have said before and I'll say it again...I am tired of the same ole same ole.  Senator Clinton seems same ole same ole negative old school politician. She is not bringing anything new to the table except her vagina and is that enough to make her President?  I'm taking a chance on Senator Obama.  A chance, that is the key word because nothing is certain in this world.  He could turn out to be just terrible and I would be knocked over with a feather.  But it is a chance.  I like what he says and what he stands for and he is not going to that place to mud wrestle with Senator Clinton, a place that it seems to me she wants to go. I like that about him.

If there are issues that separate the two that also separates us, then that is fine.  This is the place to have those discussions, if we can with less hating on each other.  But to fall back on she is a woman and thus she is getting dissed here because she is a woman...I just think is wrong and offensively calculating.
