Cheney to Hannity: I was Appalled at Rev. Wright!

So glad to see the Supreme Dick join the jingoism circle jerk over at Fox News:

"I thought the controversy over Rev. Wright was remarkable," Cheney said. “I thought some of the things he said were absolutely appalling. And, you know, I haven't gotten into the business of trying to judge how Sen. Obama dealt with it, or didn't deal with it, but I really, I think -- like most Americans -- I was stunned at what the Reverend was preaching in his church and then putting up on his website.’"

Want to talk about appalling?  Bring it on....

1.  I'm appalled the White House explicitly approved of torture methods prohibited by the Geneva Conventions, not to mention U.S. law.

2.  I'm appalled Dick Cheney lied about Saddam being responsible for 9/11 numerous times both before and after the U.S. occupation of Iraq.

3.  I'm appalled 4,000 U.S. servicemen and thousands upon thousands of civilians (both U.S. and Iraqi) have been killed in a war that has done nothing to keep us safer.

4.  I'm appalled that the federal government hasn't strengthened security at home--our airports still do not have the best screening technology and are not capable of protecting us from terrorism.

5.  I'm appalled the FAA hasn't been aggressively protecting the safety of passengers on U.S. airlines--American and Southwest have both grounded hundreds of planes this week because the FAA has been letting safety inspections fall to the wayside for the past 8 years.

6.  I'm appalled that Cheney, along with Donald Rumsfeld, misrepresented Al Qaeda to scare the American people into supporting a pre-emptive war.  Remember this?:
   
   

7.  I'm appalled that Halliburton was awarded no-bid contracts for reconstruction in Iraq, despite Cheney's supposed allegiance to free-market economic principles.
   
   

8.  I'm appalled that Cheney's aide Scooter Libby orchestrated the outing of an undercover CIA agent, Valerie Plame, as retribution for her husband revealing that the President had lied when he proclaimed that Saddam had sought uranium in Niger.

9.  I'm appalled that Cheney opposed a bill in Congress to pressure South Africa to end its racist apartheid regime and free Nelson Mandela, whom Cheney characterized as a terrorist.

10.  I'm appalled that Cheney avoided military service in Vietnam through 4 deferments but criticizes the patriot Reverend Wright who volunteered for the Marines and served with distinction.

      last week, that said that about 2/3 of Democratic voters don't think Wright is an issue, and think Obama handled it well, whereas the other 1/3 think it's an issue.

      The fact that that 1/3 is in agreement with Cheney, or even that Clinton is now in agreement with Cheney, is really really weird to me.

  There was a world wide movement to free Mandela and end apartheid in South Africa. The bill before Congress wanted the US to put pressure on South Africa to end apartheid and free Mandela.

  Cheney voted against the bill, saying Mandela is a terrorist.

  When Mandela was released soon afterward, he of course became South Africa's leader.

  1. Cheney shot his friend in the face, and got the friend to apologize to him on national tee vee.  What a Dick!

  2. Cheney got Google to remove his home from their maps.  Like we don't know where he lives already.  What a Dick!

  3. Cheney refused to release his visitor records so we can't see what evil-doings he's up to at home on company time. What a Dick!

  4. Cheney refuses to support gay rights, while having a lesbian daughter who was having a child with her long time partner.  What a Dick!

  5. Cheney got Klamath River Basin water ported over to corporate farming interests in Southern Oregon, ensuring Greg Walden's re-election and unleashing untold long term damage to the Klamath River and salmon runs.  What a Dick!  

  6. Cheney has believed since the Nixon Administration that presidential power should be expanded, unquestioned and irreversible.  He is personally and primarily responsible for much of the damage BushCo has done to date. What a Dick!

  7. Cheney believes he is immune to checks and balances, with his assertion that his office lies outside of the Executive Branch, yet is not part of the Legislative Branch.  He exists in Cheney Land only, a place I hope we can all find the exit from on January 20, 2009.  What a Dick!

  8. Cheney requires that all TVs in hotel rooms he uses while traveling be set to FOX news.  And he drinks decaf. What a Dick!

  9. Cheney had advocated and encouraged Bush to use signing statements to eviscerate laws as they were written, making them hollow, useless and vacant, much like Cheney's soul.  What a Dick!

  10. Cheney engineered the NSA's warantless wiretapping program, and allowed the Executive to believe they were entitled to use the constitution as a doormat when it comes to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and so many other violations I can't list them all here.  What a Dick!

  Impeach Cheney!
