Elitism? Bill Maher destroyed that argument last year.

So we're going over the elitist argument again, are we?  Now, others have made some excellent points on the current situation with Obama and using the word "bitter".

Well, Bill Maher had what may be the definitive speech on the "elitist" argument almost exactly one year ago, on his April 13, 2007, show.

    I'm worried, I won't lie, I don't like the way the media is pouncing, but I am asking two questions:

    1- Whose affected/offended here? if you're pro-obama, you'll probably hear out his context and be ok... if you're anti-obama, you'll hear what you want to hear.

    2- Will this actually affect the polls?  The Wright flap offended whites, but this offends God and Gun Small Town people... isn't that Karl Rove's Key Base?  

    I don't know many God and Gun Democrats...

  Doesn't Bill Maher drive a Prius?  Elitist snob.  And when did the Liberals take back the word 'Liberal'?  I heard McCain call Obama a liberal the other day, and it sounded like he was calling him an infant-sodomizing Muslim-terrorist-extremist-Sunni.  He later corrected it (after consulting with Joe Lieberman) to infant-sodomizing-Muslim-terrorist-extremist-Shiite.

  The opportunity here is for Obama to really go populist, because the worse this economy gets, the more Wall St. gets bailed out, the more money goes to Iraq, the more body bags come home, the more the dollar goes down the toilet, the deeper we go into recession, the more "bitter" we all get. Actually "bitter" is too kind a word. And the beltway insider multi-millionaires, McCain and Clinton have no claim to the champion of the rest of us.
