Kool Aid vs. Kruel Aid
Wed Apr 16, 2008 at 09:22:53 PM PDT
I have heard one too many times about how Obama supporters must be drinking the Kool Aid.
Well, after tonight,if you are a Clinton supporter and you truly agree that this Debate was non-biased and non propaganda filled, then my dears, you must be drinking the "Kruel-Aid". If you feel that somehow, after the revelation that George S was speaking with Hannity yesterday regarding the very questions he asked tonight, and used the Ayer's question, somehow is the new standard that represents the Democratic party....then you are drinking the "Kruel-Aid"
In the last weekend, Senator Clinton's urgency to hoist herself up on the swiftboating of one of her Democratic colleagues earned her the loss of not only my vote if she wins the nomination, but also any lingering respect that I had for her.
In the last weekend, her urgency to hoist her self up on the swiftboating of one of her Democratic colleagues earned her the loss of not only my vote if she wins the nomination, but also any lingering respect that I had for her. I understand wanting to campaign on policy differences. I even understood her wanting to prove electability by pointing out his experience. I sort of understood her being less then genuine about the "As far as I know" comment, after all, this is a highly contested primary. But this last weekend served me a good bitter serving of what this individual, no matter her strengths and experience in the past, will actually represent as a President. It is a win at all cost mentality.
So let me ask this of all of you who are happily drinking the "Kruel-Aid":
Do you honestly think, honestly, that if Clinton wins the nomination, that somehow the Republicans will be defeatist in the fact that she has so "few" skeletons in her closet? Do you honestly think that we know everything there is to know about her or her husband and that somehow, the Republicans are going to throw there hands in the air? No....the answer is no. I'm not denying Obama's mistakes or connections, I'm not denying any dirt that may be out there about him.....but pray...do not make the mistake of thinking that somehow this "swiftboating" will only be geared towards him. Her favorability numbers are dwindling, how much do you really think she can take in the general election. In fact, turn the tables around.......look at tonight for an example,
When Obama was questioned about her honesty had a chance to respond, he was gracious. When given a chance to beat her over the head with a proven lie, he demurred. True his campaign may have sent out memos regarding her issues with Bosnia, but I never once heard him go on the trail and blast her the way she is hanging him out to dry. Shame indeed. For the candidate to add legitimacy to swiftboating by using those talking points and tactics on the campaign trail is deplorable. At this point I ask, for whom does she really care? It most certainly isn't the Democratic party since McCain's numbers are rising in the polls. It certainly isn't the American people, since all the states he won don't count, and by those regards, the people that voted for him don't count...and as of yesterday, the youth vote is "foolish". For whom does she care I ask?
If he had decided to give her a quick one-two side swipe upon the political proverbial jaw, would you have appreciated that? No....?
WELCOME TO THE "KOOL-AID" WORLD...If you had somebody that is supposed to be a teammate trip you as to you are passing the ball or taking a shot, than proceed to laughing and pass the ball to the opponent, how the hell would you react?
WELCOME TO THE "KOOL-AID" WORLD.
I'd rather be an AID TO KOOL, then an AID TO KRUEL.
Isn't it time that we take down the banner of "Cruel World" and start working towards a "Cool World"
