As I finally clear my head of all the despicable things I just saw in the first presidential debate in over a month, it suddenly dawned on me that the next President of the United states just survived a full ambush.
Yeah, we all saw the farce the stooges at ABC Shrews broadcast last night. We know how the blogosphere erupted in anger even before the deed was done. I've seen the predictable hand-wringing from some progressive pundits who still cower in fear as they wait for the inevitable attack that will destroy Obama just as it did Kerry and Gore and Cleeland and so on and so on and shoo be do be do beeee....
I called it a high tech lynching. Others call it an embarrassment for America.
And I'm sure the same question has bubbled up to the forefront of everyone's mind:
How will Obama respond to this latest attack? What could he possibly say to help elevate the discourse while even the MSM goes balls out to lower it?
Well, here ya go:
Allow me to say it, and this is not accusing him of elitism:
Obama showed today why he stands - um - "head and shoulders" above the rest.
Thank you Senator Obama for showing grace under sniper fire.
UPDATE #1:
Well, I just got back from installing a new audio card. Apparently my system and dKos aren't getting along today (wayyy too much traffic for a crappy motherboard with embedded audio/video maybe?). I get back to see a lot of positive responses, but I'm still holding out for a few trolls. But then, maybe George Stickaknifeinus took today off....
