Hey! Wake Up!

Everyone has massaged the voter break downs in the demographics of Pennsylvania. Everyone has claimed to identify who is voting for whom. And, once again, we see the same, poor fools being lead down the path by their own stubborn clinging to fantasy.
By casting the divisions between the Republicans and Democrats as either "conservative" or "radical", Lee Atwater managed to set the voting patterns of Democrats way back in 1980. Who wanted to be labeled a "radical"? These were, after all, those dope smoking hippies. People who protested the war. Folks who seemed to challenge every "Mer'kin" value as presented by the media, the marketers, and the men who were heavily invested in no change to anything.
Conservative Democrats became Reagan Democrats, and have continued to vote for the tag lines, and promises, offered to corral them ever since. They abbhor anything that suggests change as being representative of that Republican Boogie Man, "radical".
They are those over 50 voters who are attracted to Hillary because she represents no change. Nothing as "radical" as voting for a Black man...
They are in deep economic distress, so they entertain returning to the Democratic Party in a spasm of self-interest. But, they are not reliable. They have bolted before and might well do so again, if Obama is nominated.
Well this has got to stop...
They vote for the mythical promise to overturn Roe vs. Wade. They vote to block gun control, while voting to crack down on crime. They vote against "activist judges" who decided to over turn segregation, allow busing of school children, and allow flag burning as protected free speech.
The Republicans lead them to the slaughter with repeated promises to change all of those Radical decisions as soon as they took office.
Hey, all of you working class, high school educated, blue collar Conservatives! How's that worked out for ya'? In the past 30 years not one single one of the issues you were tricked into basing your votes on have been enacted.
Your Conservative votes have accomplished a couple of things, though...
You have voted to remove all government regulations against corporate manipulation of jobs, money, and markets. You have voted to send your OWN jobs overseas. You have fallen for the Corporatist bull shit for the past 30 years, and it looks like you are about to do it again!
You have placed your faith in those who use and discard you every four years, play power games with the military and your religious affiliations, destroy the Federal budget, rail against ear marks while building Bridges to Nowhere, and reduce both the stature and real power of this country across the world. You keep being seduced by the "likeability" and "guy next door" personas of rough, big time manipulators who rely on your short memories, lack of historical perspective, and your complete unwillingness to admit you were played, again and again.
So, you say, if Hillary, or Obama is not the Democratic nominee, you will vote for McCain?
What the hell are you thinking???
It's time to listen. We "radicals" have more education, are more affluent, and much more sophisticated in our voting behavior. We understand economics, foreign policy, the legislative process, and role of government in a democracy. We are dedicated to restoring the United States to leadership and we are passionately patriotic. We do not want people killed so businesses can get richer, the planet destroyed so those who will never have enough can get just a little bit more, and to stand by while you, in your foolish, short-sighted failure to take a look at the big picture, have your votes used to line the nests of the moguls.
If you needed surgery would you prefer a physician, or your local shade tree mechanic? If you want to vote your own interest perhaps it's time to take you cue from the choices of those voters who recognize what's good for the country.
You are either a Democrat, or a tool of the vested interests who will say anything to get your vote and then proceed to ignore you for the next 2, or 4 years.
Don't fall for the "Pro-Life" cant. Don't fall for the War Hero posture. Don't fall for the shell game that will get your vote and put you back on the shelf until the next time Big Business needs to to clear the deck for their global dreams, while treating you as economically irrelevant, unless it's election day.
Wake Up!
It doesn't matter who the Democrat's nominate. If you vote for McCain, you are a fool. And, a tool.
