Stand down, Hillary

Fri Apr 25, 2008 at 12:33:30 AM PDT

Hi Hillary, did I get your attention?   I feel like you're making a big mistake participating in the Indiana & North Carolina primaries and it will be your undoing in the general election.     Should I explain why?  Okay, follow me below.

In case your staff is too afraid to tell you then let me break the bad news that your campaign is running out of money.   Sure, you raised $10 million the other night but that only erases what debt you already had (ohh, and don't forget to pay the small-town vendors you've owed for months.)

Campaigning in Indiana & North Carolina will be really expensive at a time when you can afford it least.   So why bother?   I'll tell you why NOT to bother with either of them..  securing the nomination does not require you to win those states!     Awesome isn't it, and it's true,  just don't listen to those Obama people otherwise you may stray from the true winning path.   The Obama activists have so muddied this process up with fantastic and outrageous claims.  Nobody outside the beltway believes them anyways.

In the ordinary nomination process a candidate like yourself would campaign from one corner of the country to the other, winning delegates in primaries and caucuses.   Your husband Bill has a little experience doing this.. well, you were there with him so.  But anyways.   At the end of the campaign season the candidate that has won the most delegates secures their place in history.

All of that has changed.   Forget about it.   The only thing you need to do now is convince the superdelegates that you are the only democrat that can win in November.  They will realize the simple beauty of this argument and endorse you.   There is no doubt in my mind of this truth.

Let Barack waste his time organizing voters in Indiana, North Carolina, Oregon and all of those other far out places.    Stand up proud and know that you have won Ohio & Pennsylvannia, the two most important states in the union.

There is one argument with the superdelegates to be avoided, and that pertains to the popular vote totals.   Engaging them in this argument is a total waste of time and to be honest, its a little complicated.. the college level calculus required to make it work will only leave them confused, bewildered and possibly doubting your sincerity.

But if the superdelegates do ask about the popular vote then the answer is simple:   The popular vote is irrelevant.   You've won PA & OH !    (and FL & MI to boot.)

The superdelegates that have endorsed Mr. Obama will abandon his campaign soon enough and you will be crowned, rather, nominated at the Denver convention.. but only if you agree to skip IN, NC and the rest of those other states... save your money, show up on the sunday shows and engage McCain in a glorious battle

Poll

Hillary should skip the rest of the states because they no longer serve any purpose in nominating Hillary?
