WH Correspondents' Dinner Live Blog II

They are back live!

Live from Washington D.C. the annual droolfest known as the White House Correspondents' Dinner is taking place.

The banquet is being broadcast on C-Span and also online at c-span.org.

ThatPoshGirl was kind enough to start the live blogging of this event and her diary can be found
here. (That is the Mothership diary, please recommend that diary and not this one.)

Craig Ferguson became an American citizen on February 1st of this year and is going to do his best to give a better performance than Rich Little did at last year's banquet. Let us all wish him well.  George W. Bush will speak before Ferguson and address this association for the very, very last time.

Here's hoping that Ferguson keeps the same sense of humor during his speech that he has shown during his televison show.

  to Ferguson who I find tedious -- however, his best show was after Tom Lantos died -- he gave a great tribute to Lantos saying that he had been a good friend, inspiration and help re: his becoming a citizen.  I was amazed.
