The McCain Firewall......(and why he is in trouble)...

Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 05:21:58 AM PDT

Okay your pissed off right now.   Obama is under attack, Hillary doesn't look like the nominee and John McCain is coasting under our corporate media's protection while they assist the battle going on between Hillary and Obama.

It has hurt the party but there is a much bigger picture that everyone needs to spread and tuck away in the back of their minds:

We have too much to lose in this next election.

  1.  The Economy and American Jobs being leveraged
  1.  Iraq
  1.  A potential war with Iran, Syria or North Korea
  1.  Healthcare
  1.  The Environment
  1.  Social Security
  1.  The Supreme court swinging Neocon for the next 30 years
  1.  4 to 8 more years of Bush Policy

and people are talking about not voting?

We have the numbers to demolish the Republicans in this next election as long as everone who has voted comes out in November and that's not including the Independents who are swinging our way.  I don't recommmend not voting for the Democratic nominee for President, (even if it is the person you dislike) but if you must, then give a Congress big enough margin to overide the executive branch and decide right now, you'll at least vote and think about it up until the point you get to the voting machine.  This assures us a stronger hold in congress and a firewall to protect the public from the executive branch, a firewall.

Here is the only strategy the GOP hopes to muster up and we are seeing it unfold before our eyes every single day....

McCain is disliked amongst Republicans.  He hasn't completely locked step with the GOP and this is why many in his party are not passionate to get out and vote for him or donate to the Republican party.  I worked with a very affluent Republican the other day who said that he would not give a dime to McCain or the GOP even though he has donated in the past.  A group of old guys, may who I play cards with at the casino, are right wingers and don't have too much stomach for McCain.  The GOP has a passion problem right now and so they have to revert to plan B.  Discourage the Democrats and Independents through side shows (keeping our eyes off the items mentioned above) while they try to rally their base with the same old rhetoric of God, Guns, Gays and Scare tactics...

They have to hope that whatever candidate wins, they can paint a big enough picture of them as being so scary, the GOP base has to vote.  I think everyone knows which of our two candidates will bring out the GOP base more than the other....

So next time you hear one some pundit or corporate monkey in a suit sit behind a desk and tell you how un-electable in the primaries your candidate is then repeat it over and over again, ask yourself why they are doing it, why they continuously repeat it, and why the Democrats have come out in record numbers.....

As it stands, the GOP has to hope this will work because with the wave of Democrats who have come out lately, the GOP has to be crapping in their pants....

I'm voting no matter what,

NO MATTER WHAT!!!

we have too much to lose!!!

P.S.  If you haven't watched this video, this will stir your emotions enough to make sure you don't consider not voting..
