People need to understand

A short diary that begs to ask the question:

How many times have We The People been told by our Commander In Chief that we 'gotta understand'?

Talk about elitist. Bush has consistently peppered his answer to reporters questions with "You gotta understand", or "People need to understand", or "The American people gotta understand".

We understand. We really, really, REALLY understand. You think we're stupid! We just don't understand that you are examining problems, or that there are no easy answers. We get it.

It appears however that Bush doesn't get it. Never has, never will.

You gotta understand that when you govern with a bias towards the ruling class, the powerful corporatists and financial elitists, the working class is going to suffer. Be grateful for the jobs these powerful entities provide. Show some appreciation for their concerted and expensive efforts to  write legislation that guarantee's their continued control of commerce.

Mr. Bush, you gotta understand, you've brought great shame and ruin upon this nation. And like so many past chapters of your privileged life, someone else will have to come along and clean up the mess you've made. You gotta understand the resentment you've, and you alone, have created. It isn't just the outside world, whether it be Olk Europe, the middle east, Asia or South America that is disgust with you, it is most of us that proudly call ourselves Americans.

Shame on you Mr. Bush. You gotta understand this.

  when we don't have to listen to his "speechifying" anymore!  Having a president who possesses public speaking skills is going to be such a wonderful change.  ;~)
