Hillary Clinton's new TV ad is the most offensive yet!

Okay, I've seen a lot of crap out of the Clinton campaign in recent months, from subtle race-baiting to insensitive comments to flat-out racial prejudice unsuitable for any Democratic candidate.  But this recent "he can't win" campaign is a new low point, and the ad below is over-the-top.  Is this really her only strategy left for winning the remaining states???  Unbelievable.

No really.  Unbelievable.  ;)

UPDATE:  I threw this together today pretty quickly, so it's not perfect, but I think it's effective for what I was trying to accomplish.  I was inspired to create it while I was eating lunch at a mid-Michigan diner, and there were two old guys talking about Seattle, and I overheard them having a conversation about how the downtown had gotten "ethnic".  They were basically talking about race using a lot of the "polite" language I used for my video.  It made me furious, and combined with my anger over Clinton's recent "polite" campaign strategy, I thought I'd use my anger productively.  So to speak.

    Of course it's offensive.  It should be offensive.  That's the point.  The video above is so staggeringly close to her actual campaign strategy that it must be called out.  The point of satire isn't so much to make you laugh, as to make you think -- and I like to think there's an on-the-fence Hillary supporter out there who might stumble upon the little video and say "whoa, do I really support this?"  

    Race relations are, as many of you know, an extremely personal and touchy subject with me.  This campaign is breaking my and my family's heart.  You may not agree with my methods, but as long as I can occasionally stir up a little discussion and debate, I can take the occasional t/r.

        Hmm.  When I threw this little thing together, I was going with the strategy of 10% more offensive than reality.  But you may have a point -- if I had used only Hillary campaign quotes, it would have had the extra added bonus effect of someone going "holy crap -- they ACTUALLY said all that?!?!"  

        That's a tough one.  I don't have another free two hours to make another version though.  Maybe someone will beat me to it.  :)

    The only way to combat racism is to call it out.  I think the levels Hillary's campaign has stooped to offend me so greatly as a Democrat (and a member of a bi-racial family) that I think it's quite ripe for a little over-the-top satire.  

    Her campaign has essentially come down to the tagline at the end of the video, and if you can't laugh at it, you'll cry.

    I had to balance between being too subtle and too over-the-top.  If you're too subtle, no discussion happens.  If you're too over-the-top, you come across as just as offensive as what you wish to parody.  Was it a little too jarring?

  To be honest with you, I actually thought that it was a true video made by a crazed wingnut HRC supporter until I got to the end where it said "white" and then I had to come back here to look at the tags again.

  I don't know. I was actually getting all worked up over it before I realized that it was snark. I suppose that was your intent.

  In a country that still resists the fact that racism continues to permeate through every fiber of the American multicultural quilt, I don't know how this video will be received by the YouTube faithful. I can see that the opinions here thus far are mixed.

  I would love it if a majority of people who see this will be able to understand the point that you are trying to make and come away with a sense of the ridiculousness that is racism. However, my fear is that it will go over a lot of people's heads and it will turn into (1) "Obamabots" playing the "race card" against HRC and/or accusing her of being a racist, or (2) detractors of BHO will use it as evidence that he is truly a "separatist" (via the pictures with Reverends Jackson, Sharpton, and Wright, and Ludacris [Reilly top enemy #1]) and not the uniter that he claims to be.
