This is exactly the reason why we need to elect new Democrats w/poll

I was reading Talking Points Memo and came across this little chestnut. Senator-HI- Daniel Inouye is holding a fundraiser for the courruption laden Senator-AK-Ted Stevens.
Yes, that's right.  A democrat is holding a fundraiser for a Republican.  Though most of the money will go to his defense fund, there is never a good reason for any elected democratic official to hold a fundraisers for a republican. EVER!  Especially one as corrupt as "A Bridge to Nowhere" Ted Stevens.

Is there any wonder why I, among others, rant that we should vote all the old guard "democrats" out?  I cannot think of more than a handful in both houses that should remain in their elected job.  It is not an entitlement.  It is a position to represent your constituents, not just the rich pacs.  

Inouye is not the exception, it wasn't to long ago that Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is co-chairman of the red to blue committee in the House would not endorse democrats against republicans in Florida because of some moronic unwritten law that they won't campaign against each other.

It IS time for change.  That is why I support Ed O'Reilly for Senate in Massachusetts.

  However, I wholeheartedly disagree with your support of Ed O'Reilly.

  John Kerry is a terrific and loyal Democrat who has raised money, campaigned and supported Dems all over the country for years.

      But as your neighbor to the south, with friends and family in Mass. I wouldn't expect to see Kerry lose any time soon.

      And as a Democrat, I proudly support John Kerry and love having him as a national symbol of our party.

      ...until about a year ago, and I don't know why anyone would have a problem with Kerry. He's a good guy, and doesn't deserve the comparison here, IMO.

        But he is part of the problem, not the solution.  I remember seeing a poll that 56% of the voters would like to see Kerry step down.  But as like most polls, there is room for questions.  Also, I am not sure who conducted it.

    Can anyone explain voteing against the 1st Iraq war and for the 2nd? Oh thats right he was for it before he was against it. If a challenger can oust Kerry, it could send a message to all other Dems that thier constituants demand accountability. I see nothing wrong with that.

  your poll's title.  It refers to Rep Schmidt (mean Jean of Ohio?)instead of to Rep wasserman-Schultz.

  And yes, the HI dems need to put party ahead of the 49-50 game.
