Say what you want. Believe what you say. Whatever. What it all boils down to is that Barack Obama is a disaster in the making for the Democratic Party. He is a flash in the pan. There's no "there" there. All talk, no fight, no action.
The Democratic Party establishment has noticed and they are in dead panic mode - rightly so! They are witnessing the implosion of a once supposed rock star. From Bob Hebert at the New York Times.
A candidate who stands haplessly by as his former spiritual guide roams the country dropping one divisive bomb after another is in very little danger of being seen by most voters as the next J.F.K. or L.B.J. . . . The apparent helplessness of the Obama campaign in the face of the Wright onslaught contributes to the growing perception of the candidate as weak, as someone who is unwilling or unable to fight aggressively on his own behalf.
Evidence of Obama wearing thin on the electorate is coming forward. According to recent polls cited on Real Clear Politic, Sen. Hillary Clinton is now the choice of a majority of Democrats and Americans to be the next President of the United States. This can only lead rational Democratic leaders - automatic delegates - to come to one conclusion; Hillary Clinton is the best candidate in terms of experience and qualifications and - ahem - electability.
Barack Obama is a wimp. When Bob Hebert says things like haplessly, helplessness, and unwilling or unable to fight aggressively on his own behalf, Mr. Hebert is defining the most salient quality of Barack Obama's character. He is simply unfit for the office when compared to Hillary Clinton.
A Clinton/Obama ticket would be a force. I hope you all come around to being rationale about this election.
