Clarification on Maryland Add On Delegates (UPDATED)

OK, I'm blowing my one diary a day for a public service announcement, only because I've seen this pop up in numerous diaries, and it needs to be clarified.

PLEASE NOTE: Maryland's Add On Delegates Will NOT Be Selected Today.

I'm a State Central Committee member in MD who sits on the Rules Committee.  Yes, the delegate selection plan says they will be selected today.

However....

The State Central Committee is not meeting until Saturday morning, when the add ons will be picked.

I just confirmed this with a staffer at MDP headquarters.

So for those of you waiting for MD add on delegates to be announced today...stop.

Ain't gonna happen today.

Back to your regular programming.

UPDATE: Also, please note that these add ons are not "in the bag" for any one candidate, whether it is Obama OR Clinton.  Our process is that the State Chair will pick at least two names for each add on delegate slot.  So, unlike Illinois or New York, we will have an actual election for these delegates. And no, I have no idea who those names will be.
