My mouth waters as my fingers get ready to dance on my keyboard...

Sat May 10, 2008 at 06:37:07 AM PDT

Just a couple of more weeks...

Get a manicure to enjoy your fingers gliding accross the keyboard while you drink your latte (with your little finger extended to show your an elitist) at your local coffee house.  Brag to everyone, giggling abouting your new hybrid shinning in the sunlight outside. Buy yourself a new pair of Birkenstocks and hemp Tye dyed T-shirt.  Make sure you have a tray of grapes sitting on a silver platter next to you in order feed your fellow bloggers as you type away. (This is how they portray us so live up to the stereotype) We have so much to write about (In regards to John McCain) with so little time to do it.

The pundits keep trying to repeat that John McCain "was the one candidate that the GOP could have chosen to win in Novemeber"  The same pundits who have called it wrong all primary season...LOL!!

A big smile crosses my face as I begin to focus exclusively on John Syney McCain III  and his wife Cindy Marie Antoinette who basically has said...

I'll let them eat cake as she is
refusing to release her taxes

The pundits are still looking in the 2000 playbook hoping to outsmart the American people.  I hate to break it to them but most of the blogs I read and the diaries that make the recommended list have more substance than most of these boobs can ever imagine.

The question is where to start with John and Cindy.  If she thinks she is not running with John let me roll my eyes and laugh.  She's obviously naive...

Here are some rabbit holes to start exploring:

  1.  John McCain will try to portray himself as a "regular joe" blue collar man.  What the right wing noise machine forgets is that George W. Bush took him down in the 2000 election because he had a difficult time relating to working class voters.  It's hard to portray yourself as an advocate for the working class when your father was a Admiral in the Navy and your wife is a heiress to a fortune (and she looks it).  The "white blue collar worker" will be term you will hear from the pundits all the way through November, they will make or break John McCain.  2000 has proven that he doesn't have an appeal.  It is our job to expose John McCain for true elitist he really is.  Does this guy know how to work a shovel or a broom?  Has he ever held a job for minimum wage?
  1.  John McCain did not vote for Bush in 2000 but claimed on O'reilly that he did.  John McCain has a big problem when it comes to motivating his base. In order for John to even contemplate the White House he has to rally his base.  They don't trust him, they don't like him, so the only strategy is to bring Obama down to John McCain status.  One thing we are not hearing very much about is the fact Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee are still drawing %15 of the GOP vote despite the fact, John McCain locked up the nomination.  I have heard from so many Republicans:  "I don't like John McCain."
  1. John McCain has flipped flopped on so many issue:

Here's a link to a running list of flip flops...  bookmark this site and reference it.  Besides making McCain a third term for Bush, his credibility is really an issue.  They will try to spin this as a strength however but I don't believe it will resonate when you have taken both sides on so many issues...

Then there are the meat and potato issues:

It's the Economy Stupid

Iraq is a failed policy which John McCain has and still supports (huge mistake on his behalf)

Healthcare

Our Energy/Environment Policy Al Gore is going to spend $500,000 to push this effort

Education

Corruption that brought down the GOP in 2006 (we need to refresh voters minds about Foleygate, Rittergate, and that weirdo Larry Criag...

It's time to focus on the bigger prize.  I know there many more issue to hit these guys on but this is just a start...

John McCain and the GOP is our golden goose ready to be carved, extremely vulnerable and should have to play defense several times throughout the campaign....

Here's my quote....

Republicans love money so much they want to put God's name on it.  The Sure test for a Republican is to put a dollar bill in front of them, when their eyes light up and their mouth begins to salivate like pavlov's dog, you know they are the Grand Old Party!!!

McSame.  he's so phony, it hurts me to look at him.  The only thing that may save him is his war hero status.

I love how how didn't break 80% in the IN and NC republican primaries.  That's a serious problem for those repubs.

  •  "Hillary is just a side show" (0+ / 0-)

So is Cindy McCain just a side show and her taxes are no body's business besides her own, her tax accountant and her husband.

McCain has too many negatives that can be pointed out w/o a Cindy side show.  Focus!

was his class rank at Annapolis. That is something "Joe Sixpack" can relate to. He was near the bottom of his class, similar to the record of his father and grandfather.

  •  McCain's former opponent Romney (0+ / 0-)

is running around in the media condescending to Obama. Too bad Hillary's out doing exactly the same thing.

Before you prepare to attack John McCain, make sure you know how to respond to the Republican attacks. I say this because if we can't knock them back on their heels when they start in on us, we will not be able to take control of the narrative.

And without taking control of the narrative, we're not going to be able to make a case for the progressive agenda.
