Bill Clinton Has Gone Too Far.

The Clintons are shameless.  Everyone spins, but the way the Clintons lie is indeed troubling.  

Bill Clinton:

"I never thought it would be the Democratic Party that didn’t want to count votes in Florida," he said at a rally at the University of Montana. "I thought that was a Republican strategy -- or strategery as the case may be. And I just ask you all this, do you really believe Florida would be getting this kind of treatment if the vote had turned out the other way?"

They are willing to say and do anything to bring themselves back into the White House.  Some might argue or say that I’m overreacting, but this has become an emerging pattern.  They were in full outrage mode when Senator Obama made statement about ideas and the GOP, but Bill Clinton has just connected the stealing of the White House by the GOP and the Supreme Court to the failed candidacy of Hillary Clinton.  

He is implying ‘they’ are trying to steal this and to assert if the result of the vote had turned the other way the treatment would have been different is an outright lie.

Senator Obama would have not tried to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations to benefit his failed Presidential campaign after agreeing the to DNC rules written and enforced by top level staff members of this campaign.  

Once again, the Clintons are shameless.  Yes, I know there is going to be a time once Obama is the nominee that Clintons are going to have to rally to Democratic cause, but I for one am not going to forget the ways Clintons were willing to trash anyone that got in their way and used GOP dirty tactics.

    Honestly, what is the difference between the disenfranchisement of voters in 2000 and now?  The Florida vote should be re-done.  This entire primary is really going to change things because of the actions of Michigan and Florida.  However, you can’t deny that without a re-vote in these states, the only party that will suffer will be the Democratic Party.

        A revote rewards FL and MI with tie-breaker status after they broke the rules.  Why shouldn't any other DNC rule-abiding jurisdiction be allowed to have a revote subsequent to FL and MI?

        If there is another close primary, I fear every jurisdiction will move their voting date to July or August in order to get tie-breaker status if we allow a revote.

      The DNC tried to work out re-votes in MI and FL back in March, but there was no agreement on where to get the money to pay for them.  Now, there's no time to organize them is they wanted to.  I think the last date possible for a primary is either June 3rd or June 10th.  It. Can't. Be. Done.

      It should be a lesson to states in the future to not screw around with the rules.  Imagine if there had been a MI and FL primary to fill in that interminable 6-week gap March/April.  They would have gotten tons of attention and contributed to the nomination.  Instead, they got (and deserve to get) bupkis.

      In the first case, one Party wanted stop the vote counting to favor their Presidential candidate.  In the other case, one Campaign wants to change the rules they agreed to after the fact to benefit their candidate.  Their quest is not base on the principle of one person one vote, but on politics.

      I disagree; the only people that will suffer are the Clintons.  They were all for stripping Michigan and Florida delegations and if they won on Super Tuesday the delegations would have been seated in Denver without the false moral outrage.

      Florida and Michigan should have done re-votes, but for the Clintons shed tears about disenfranchisement rings hollow.  

      Its all for political gain.

      Anyone who doesn't realize that unjustly halting a recount in an official general election contest is different from failing to give full credit to a sham primary that the Democratic Party and ALL the POTUS nominees agreed would not count far in advance of the election is either a slobbering idiot or is advancing an agenda.

      And frankly, it is insulting to the grave injustice done to the voters of Florida and the real and serious harm done to the fabric of this country by the 2000 fiasco to even compare the two.

                It is the only possible way she might consider dropping out before the convention...

                Anyone who thinks they will not take this to the convention if allowed to is kidding themselves. Either tthe party ends it or Hillary will stage a convention floor challenge.

  as Gore and Bradley did in 2000, MI would've probably backed off and found a solution to avoid the mess. Other candidates would've then taken their names off FL (as they did in MI) and had she followed suit there as well, then FL Dems may have found a workable solution.

  Donna Brazille said yesterday that the DNC offered to pay for make-up primaries back then should FL and MI Dems have wanted to hold them (i.e. the DNC gave an option that got the state parties' backs from Republican gaming).

  It seems to me that HRC retainging her name on the ballots and some possible favoritism (Granholm supports HRC) have led to this mess. Obama has little do with it and he followed the rules as set by the party. He shouldn't pay a price for the mess.

  Hillary was right in line with the program for not counting these states from the beginning.  Only when she realized it wasn't going to be a coronation and she might need their votes counted did she start squawking.

  It's a shame that Florida and Michigan didn't get counted... but the fault of that lies on their state officials, who should pay for it when it's time for re-election.  THEY screwed over those voters, not Barak Obama and not the Democratic Party.  The idiots knew the rules, decided to spit at them despite the results, and they disenfranchised their own voters; it's nobody else's fault.

  The only good thing that's come out of this horrible primary process is that Bill Clinton's legacy is now shit.  And shit is all he deserves.

  Sometimes, I crave the sweet life we had before Reagan.  It wasn't lush and not many lived high on the hog, but it wasn't filled with lying politicians and gouging businesses.
