Going after Karl Rove one Congressional seat at a time

Wed May 14, 2008 at 06:42:46 AM PDT

We should never forget about good old Karl Rove.  Fox News and the right wing noise machine have decided to champion Karl Rove as a hero and "expert" political analysis.  We here on the left like to champion Karl Rove as the mastermind who united our party and helped us lock in a potential hold on Congress for a several election cycles.  We also should add that time is running out for Karl Rove as we get closer and closer to the main election.....

Every time I see that peice of dogshit on Television, it reminds me why I have to vote in November no matter what.  He is a reminder for everything that I'm against and how one Administration could wreak so much havoc on our great country and our world.

Karl Rove better hope John McCain will continue to keep him under his wing and breast feed him like Bush and Chenney have if by some shot McCain pulls out a victory.  I as a blogger promise to keep his Rove's criminal acts fresh in the minds of our overwhelming control of Congress come January and push for justice.  Karl Rove won't have the protection of the Executive Branch after Bush is gone.  This makes him accountable for his action.

The media is not covering the Democrats blow to the GOP in Mississippi yesterday continuing to protect the pro-corporate party....

In a major blow to national Republicans, a Mississippi congressional seat that once voted for President Bush by a twenty-five point margin elected a Democrat on Tuesday. Prentiss County Chancery Clerk Travis Childers beat out Republican candidate Greg Davi

and in a usual GOP stronghold where they dumped tons of cash, 527 smears, Reverend Wright rhetoric, racism, etc.  The GOP got their asses kicked.

What does this tell us?

This tells us people are comming out to vote in November regardless of the candidate.  Despite the rift in the Democrats between Hillary and Obama, it is the beginning of th end to all the Neoconservative bullshit.  With more and more people regarding themselves less and less as Republicans, the GOP has a serious math problem come November.  They don't have a base.

Furthermore, I encourage every Democrat to show up and vote at least for your congressional candidate despite how upset you are.

Every Congressional win in November is one step closer to justice and Karl Rove behind bars....

P.S.  I took down my diary last night snarking West Virginia.  You have to remember, I'm from New Mexico we poke fun at our own state all the time.  No offense, I was pretty upset and I posted that diary in poor taste...

Update: Wow all this spin from the media about people not comming out in November is purely spin.  We will be united as a party come November.  I guarantee it!!  Fox news and the right wing noise machine will help convince anyone who is thinking they won't.  The mistake the GOP made is boxing themselves in with rhetoric and punditry.  They offer a sharp contrast.  Evil versus Good so to speak!!!

they tried to use Obama as a negative and look what happened.  This is the one thing that stood out in all 3 contests.  Obama was a tremendous asset.  Where's Hillary in these 3?

Republicans are not a national party anymore.

This point needs to be hammered home over and over and over.

The Republican Party is now synonymous with corruption, failed policies, bad management, incompetence.  All a result of Rove's "politics over policy" approach to winning elections and carving up the electorate.

The MSM is waaaaaay behind the population at large on this one.  The embrace of Obama is largely a REJECTION of the tactics of Rove, yet where is that meme expressed in the media?  Indeed, not only is it not discussed, they have actually HIRED him to spout his nonsense on television.

When historians write about the 2006 and 2008 elections, the bogeyman won't be Bush, it will be Rove and Cheney, and they will eventually be blamed for the quick implosion of the Republican Party.

    •  Totallly agree!!! (0+ / 0-)

He's a one hit wonder.  He was able to get a boob elected but lost his party eight years later.  Some genius.  I like him on their side..

    •  That's like saying your kid got in trouble (0+ / 0-)

because of some other "bad" kid.  The Republican party wanted to be corrupted...and Karl showed them the way.  It cannot be supposed by anyone that if the "throw Karl under the bus" that the Republicans will beome progressives over night.  Even John(the chameleon) McSame is talking change like he was offering nickles to a panhandler.
The only thing that the Republican "base" has gotten for all their support is a stacked SC....which is no small matter, but none of their other wedge issues have been addressed in any concrete form.  They need to be told how badly they have been lied to and that if they want to know WJWD, they should look to the progressive, Dem agenda.  J wouldn't turn his face from the poor, the children, the suffering or the weak...nor would he attack other countries to secure natural resources or strategic positioning...

Karl is on Fox, for christssakes....how low can he go??

If we want peace, why do we give weapons and call it "aid"?

...if only for calling Rove a piece of dogshit. But the rest is good too. ;-7

Anyone who fails to see the historical parallels between Blackwater & the Nazi SS, or the DHS & the Gestapo, needs a serious reality check.

  •  I voted "Not Sure." (0+ / 0-)

But then again my Congresscritter is Rahm Emanuel, who only neds to show up breathing on Election Day to win.  In fact, this being Chicago, the breathing requirement may be optional.

    •  Mine too... just skipped the poll for that reason (0+ / 0-)

I don't really like Rahm, but he's guaranteed 90% of the vote.

Anyway, we can spend our time start planning what we'll do when we run out of Congressional seats to take away from Karl...

      Dean in the Cabinet, please!

John and Jane Doe probably don't know who Rove is and probably doesn't know what he has done.  We, here and at other 'political blog sites, take it for granted that everyone is as informed and as interested as we are, but I don't think that is the case.  Citing evidence of the vote in W.Va. yesterday as proof in the pudding.

Foley, Vitter, the 'wide stance' guy, and Abramof get my huge round of applause for tainting the Republican party, and today's startling breaking news that the Shrub quit golfing as a way of supporting the troops gets a big clap.  It's the little things that count.
