GOP Attacks Michelle Obama...NOT THIS TIME

The Tennessee GOP party has come out with a statement and video attacking Obama's wife, Michelle for the now well know snippets of a speech given a few months ago "for the first time...I am REALLY proud to be an American...blah blah blah.".  Now I'm not naive, and I know that the GOP is going to fight hard, but really....is this the type of ammunition they have?  Seriously?  They are going after his wife..a very gracious and warm lady who just happens to be slightly inexperienced on the stump...and this is what they bring?

...I can't wait for the General Election to start...they have no idea whats coming to them.  If they think this type of garbage is going to be widely accepted as effective campaigning, they are seriously misjudging the mood of the American people.

All I have to say is "NOT THIS TIME!".

A little preview of the garbage I just read...hold your knows and spit out your food for this crap.

I'm sure Tennesseans are really proud of the way this country is going. Once again, the GOP is missing the mark because they are assuming that people are  happy with the way this country is being run.

"And while Mrs. Obama has trouble being proud of the country where she earned degrees from Princeton University and Harvard Law School and then became a multi-millionaire, her husband makes statements that belittle average Americans' response to the difficulties of life..."

I can't help laughing about this.  They are now insinuating that her success, build on the hard work of her parents and herself somehow were a result of the millions that the Obama's just recently came into.

Let's see...Here's a rough timeline,

1)Michelle Obama's two very blue collar parents (neither a college graduate) are able to supply her with a decent education

2)Michelle Obama goes to college and graduate school on school loans

3)Barack Obama writes two very successful books

4)From this money they are able to pay off their college loans

5_Now they are millionaires

Or, in GOP land

1)Michelle Obama was born with a million dollar bill in her mouth

2)She some how manages to pass through college and graduate school

3)She meets Barack Obama while bathing in a bath made of gold coins

4)Now they are swimming money...

.........oh...dammit wait, methinks the GOP got Michelle Obama confused with George W Bush.

This is the woman that the GOP are now scared of...or willing to spread slanderous insinuations about?  REALLY!?!

Now what I want to know is...with the news that some of Clinton's fervent female supporters that will be coming out today to protest Obama's premature coronation of the nomination, what will they say to this incredibly shameful attack on another very accomplished, very sincere, and very pro feminine woman....Just guessing, somehow their pride only goes one way...and that's towards Clinton

The Obama camp's statement regarding this?

This is a shameful attempt to attack a woman who has repeatedly said she wouldn't be here without the opportunities and blessings of this nation. The Republican Party's pathetic attempts to use the same smear tactics to win elections have failed in Mississippi, failed in Louisiana, and will fail in November because the American people are looking for a positive vision of real change. And if the Tennessee Republican Party has a problem with Senator Obama, maybe next time they'll have the courage to address him directly instead of attacking his family

Shameful indeed.  To quote another very powerful and accomplished woman..."SHAME ON YOU"!!  

I'm ready to get my hands dirty and fight for Michelle...what about you?

...and if the GOP thinks somehow Cindy McCain will come out of all of this unscathed with the very notorious stories about her drug and alcohol use, they better snap back into reality...Barack Obama may not do this, as it is counterintuitive with his style of campaigning, but the media will have no problem setting the balance.

This made me so angry, I encourage all of his supporters to donate 1 dollar per adult year that you have been unhappy with this government to Obama.

  I will not just stand here and let the GOP slander and smear such a hardworking and tireless individual such as Michelle Obama.  It's arguable if they want to try and use smear attacks against Obama, but his wife...before he even gets the nomination?  That does it...I am donating $11 dollars to the campaign...one dollar for each year of my adult life.  I still have yet to be very proud of our government.

      A lot of the people who were calling Obama "Obambi" and thinking he wasn't tough are likely going to be due for a surprise.  They've mistaken the fact that he's low-key and quiet for weakness... but a really tough guy doesn't have to go around proving it, because he already knows what he can do.  He doesn't need to make a lotta noise, he just takes care of business. :)
