Hillary Clinton the last Cylon???

Think about it: she's very intelligent, nearly always impeccably coiffed and nothing seems to be able to kill them!!!

Actually BG is a very relevant show for today's time. Use of torture, capital punishment, occupying foreign lands (planets), military/political contretemps etc. etc. have all been central themes during this show's run.

Goofy diary topic I know but I'm stuck at home tonight watching the Celtics go down on the road again and switched over to BG.

Any other Galactica fans out there amoungst the Kossacks??

    otherwise the conclusion won't be explosive.  If I were the writer, I would pick somebody high profile.  And I would pick somebody who doesn't have living children and blood relatives, because that creates complications.

    That would suggest the following:

    1. Baltar

    1. a. That imaginary 6 chick that Baltar speaks to.

    2. Starbuck

    3. President Laura Roslin

    4. Tom Zarek, the political opposition leader.

    Anybody else would be somewhat anti-climactic.  Like Anastasia.  Too peripheral.  Nobody would care.  

    Of course, they could really pull a fast one and try to go for someone with a blood relative, like Adama or his son, but that makes it hard to explain their family backstory.

    I'm sure Huckabee was merely using allegory, too, to point out his perceptions of Obama's flaws, but there are some places one just doesn't go, and some times when one doesn't go there.

      First off, what Mike Huckabee said was "someone aimed a gun at Obama". What he did by saying that was imply that Obama is a possible target of an assaination. He did not once use the word "kill". What the diarist did was to compare a trait of a fictional character to the fictional life of HRC's campaign. Not to her. It's not the same thing. You are being overly sensitive.

  I was an Edwards supporter. I am now an Obama supporter, though my Edwards bumper sticker remains in place on my car.

  Hillary has run an abysmal campaign. She has done everything wrong that she could have done wrong.

  But, this kind of stuff isn't funny and never was.  It's akin to dehumanizing an enemy before you attempt to kill them on the battlefield, when they're probably just as scared of the future and trying to demonize you, as well.

•  I usually indulge my BG theories elsewhere, but..

  Consider the pattern of the final four Cylons revealed so far :
  Tighe: second in command of the Galactica, runs the military human machinery.
  Tory: Chief adviser of the President, runs the political human machinery.
  Tyrol: Chief Engineer, runs the machine's machinery
  Sam: Husband of Starbuck, Starbuck the embodiment of the fleet's spiritual divining rod, and Sam services/supports her.

  There's four elements represented here.  Existence/Life (political), War/Death (military),  the spiritual/metaphysical, and technology -- the advancements that enabled humans evolve beyond cave dwelling and hunter-gathering, (Guns, Germs and Steel reference) .

  All the hidden cylons, the power behind each "throne".

  So...
  What's the fifth element missing?
  Who is the second monkey of that element?

  At this point my meagre brain gets into ifs and maybes. Since I'm pretty sure the reasoning I've laid out above is spurious, take all with salt.  

  But...
  The series features cylons talking about God.  Is the missing element "machine spirituality?"  

  Or...
  Is the fifth element like the bad movie, and the fifth element love?  If so... blurg.

  The only pattern I trust is none of the cylons occupied "leading" roles.  Rule out Adama, Roslyn, Baltar (yes, I know), Starbuck.  

  As I'm writing this, Tom Zarek feels like maybe, but doesn't fit the pattern. Plus, there's been zero foreshadowing in the storytelling that would indicate Zarek.  His character arc has gone nowhere lately.

  I have an ongoing theory the series will end with Roslyn dying as the fleet finds earth.  The Cylons are right behind.  The fleet sees the 6 billion people, thousands of cultures and thousands of languages.  They decide to sacrifice themselves for the greater humanity.  Apollo takes over as President while Adama leads the Galactica on a final suicide mission to stop the cylons from reaching Earth.  

  I like my ending because BG it maintains the feel of reality which has made it so good.  If BG spaceships orbit Earth, the Sci-Fi channel would need to convince President Obama to make a cameo, otherwise, bye-bye our suspension of disbelief.

  Solution: keep the realism, make sure the fleet doesn't get to Earth.  And if President Apollo leads a secret fleet of refugees down to Earth, President Apollo the final cylon, that's kinda cool.
