I posted this on the BFA blog after reading that Dean is still harping that we "need real change" and that "washington insiders" can't get the job done. Face it folks, Dean just isn't a smooth enough or astute enough politican to figure out how to morph himself into the desires of the electorate, which is a damn shame, because he is the most centrist, electable candidate in my opinion:
the washington insider theme is stupid. it is not a reason people will be swayed by. they like Kerry's experience on the foreign relations comte. voters are not mad at Washington this year. they are mad AT BUSH. when the hell is Dean going to get this through his thick head?? Dean should go after Kerry's character--because he is, as Roy so greatly said, "A politican of caution and convenience" and that is why he is unelectable against Bush, who no matter what you think, is bold, consistent, visionary (and crazy to most of us). why not run attack ads based on this? might as well do it now since the GOP will do it for him. this is not the year we like Washington outsiders. this is not the year we want to overthrow Washington. this is the year we want a centrist MODERATE ELECTABLE Democrat. that used to be Dean, before he went on his Nader-like rampage. very very sad to me.
i cannot believe the free ride kerry is getting since all the other guys are too chickenshit right now to go negative on him. they should do us all a favor and just hit him w/ all the stuff the GOP will. show commercials of kerry with Dukakis. talk about his mansion money and ketchup money.
