How Will the Florida and Michigan Delegates be Counted?

The party’s Rules and Bylaws Committee, a panel of 30 officials from across the country, began wading through a series of challenges over how the delegations from Florida and Michigan will be seated at the summer’s nominating convention.

The states were penalized for holding primaries in violation of party rules, but the dispute has taken on critical importance because of the narrow duel between Mr. Obama and Mrs. Clinton.

The meeting began shortly before 10 a.m., with a scores of supporters from each campaign, as well as activists from both states, taking their seats inside a ballroom of a Washington hotel.

The proceedings, which also were being aired on cable television, got off to a slow start, with a compromise not expected until early evening.

        Update 50 - Dennis totally broke all the rules.  He's such a rebel.  The governor totally respects Levin.  Totally.  But he doesn't agree because Obama took his name off the ballot and therefore Mr. Uncommitted kicked his ass.  He's also willing to give Uncommitted's votes to Obama.  He want't Michigan to be honored, respected, and kissed after the Prom.

        Update 51 - Hillz is calling Jerome from Mydd again.  This time she's pissed.  The former Gov hasn't used the word 'troubled' in at least two sentences.  It's off message.  He used disenfranchised, though, so she won't have him rubbed out.  

        Update 52 - They are taking questions now.  Clinton campaign hates Michigan Dem Proposal.  Michigan will get no respect this way.  It's like letting the DNC get to third base without buying it so much as a Happy Meal.  He is respecting Levin again.  I bet the former Gov is classy enough to buy Levin dinner first. He totally called out Iowa and New Hampshire, though.  They are whores, but he loves them anyway.  Sluts.

          Michigan is (almost) always playing on new years day, and Florida is likely to have to teams playing in January.  Iowa gets there now and again, and New Hampshire doesn't even have an eligible school/team.

    That phrase may be technically accurate, but could lead to a faulty conclusion.
