I’m sending Hillary a Howler!
Mon May 05, 2008 at 07:09:04 PM PDT
If I can borrow a term made famous by J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series I think it’s time for those who stand for Obama—stand for a fair shake in the primary voting process—to send Sen. (Hillary) Clinton a howler! What’s a Howler, you ask? If you know anything of the series it is the type of letter sent by owl you DON’T want to get from anyone, especially a close relative. For Ronald Weasley, he got his howler from his mum after taking the enchanted car his father tinkered with flying in full view of Muggles (non-magic folks), crashing it into a tree, and causing havoc to Ron’s dad at his job. The noise from the howler was so piercing everyone in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry could hear it.
Maybe it is time to send the Clinton’s the biggest howler by those who believe in a fair contest in the primary. Then she could see the numbers are against her and she would loose more than she would ever gain.
Why write this entry?
Because of this in today’s Huffington Post:
"There is no secret plan.... The Clinton campaign has been vocal in stating that the votes of 2.5 million people must be respected. Hardly a day goes by when a Clinton official doesn't publicly declare that the votes of Michigan and Florida count and that the delegations from those states should be seated."
Here:
Folks, I’m done!
I’ve tried to be patient, tried to understand of how much she wants the nomination. But in the past few months Sen. Clinton has whittled away any good will left to anyone who even remotely considered having her as the other running mate if Sen. (Barrack) Obama wouldn’t be the nominee for the Democratic ticket. She’s burned more bridges then she’s build and right now the biggest bridge she’s burned is the black vote.
"One of the nation's largest Black American grassroots advocacy organizations is drawing a line in the sand for Democratic leadership: if Hillary Clinton is awarded the nomination by overturning the pledged delegate count there will be a political price to pay."
Here:
And the youth vote, who has shown up in droves, may be lost to the Democratic Party forever if their hard efforts to have Obama as the nominee goes out of the door by use of the "nuclear option".
Not even a guest appearance of Chelsea Clinton on Gossip Girl with a lesbian kiss to boot can bring the youth vote back to her mom’s way once this thing is triggered.
The ultimate slap in the face by way of disrespecting the Dems on Capitol Hill and by cozying up to the one person you should be campaigning hard against: John McCain! That’s right; "grampee" is letting Hillary help him across the street so she can earn her RNC merit badge for trashing a DNC ideal.

You know, my first Democratic vote was for Clinton; I fought off a close conservative Christian friend at the time defending the Clintons and their policies. I stood with them during Monica and a whole host of others while having to work at a radio station in Dayton rerunning Rush Limbaugh overnights.
Talk about being played a sucker!!
I’m asking every Obama supporter, heck, I’m asking every person who believes in keeping the party whole and sane to fight against the RNC to November to start bombarding the DNC with "howlers" disapproving this very sad and scary tactic the Clinton camp is proposing. In fact, if they plan to have this meeting I want to echo my support that there should be enough Obama supporters screaming from the rafters over this approach.
And to Hillary supporters, can you be really proud of this candidate?
How can you continue to support a candidate who is becoming more and more a liability to the DNC each day she opens her mouth and lends support to McCain and other republican "ideals"? It is your right to support whoever you feel is right, but deep down is this the type of American leader you want in 2009 taking on some of the toughest problems this country has ever faced? If you do, we deserve to be put out of business.
I’m utterly disgusted with how this has turned out and wonder if Sen. Clinton bought the same bubble George W. is wearing. Obviously she’s a bit tone death, the people are REALLY starting to rumble.
And I happen to be one of them.
