North Carolina called for Obama!!!!!!

Oh my God!!!Yes, they have already called it based on exit polling alone. CNN states that this is big, because it is a bigger state with a lot more delegates. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOt.

This means it's a big win folks. When was the last time Hillary won a race this way? Was Arkansas called as soon as the polls closed?

    To the black voters and GOTVers I met during the past week, yee-haw!!!

    The Obama rally in Charlotte was the blackest crowd of several thousand people that I, as a white girl originally from Wisconsin, have ever been in.  I haven't had that "minority" feeling since I traveled in India.  Everyone I met, though, was warm and happy and friendly with everyone else, regardless of color.  That is the America I want to be part of.

    We talked to this one guy today who just grabbed us on the street while we were looking for a building which apparently didn't exist anymore.  He was so excited about voting for Barack Obama.  We weren't absolutely sure he was from the precinct we were canvassing, but we gave him a doorhanger anyway because he wanted one, and suggested he go there for help, because we had no way from the walk list to figure out his precinct.  I really hope he got to the right place.

    How can anyone NOT want this on the behalf of African-Americans and empathize with their (well-justified) pride and excitement?  I mean, leaving aside that Obama is an awesome candidate and I'd vote for him no matter what, I want this for them.

  and he won all voters under 65

  if 37% African-American and he won 91%  that is about 34% of vote

  if 36% of 63%,  that would be about 23%

  that comes out to 57%, or a 14 point lead among those voting today.

  But 40% of the early voting was African American, and he should have done a little better in the early voting.

  Thus it is hard to imagine that he wins by less than 12%, but more likely that he will win by 15% or more.

    North Carolina is like Colorado - a red state that Obama can turn blue - and N.C. IS a big state. It's looking like 2.5M votes cast today in N.C. (mine being 1).

    There is still work to be done. Obama needs a massive voter registration drive........and he needs the (potentially) huge, untapped N.C. college vote (and you know historically the youth vote doesn't come through). But there's a chance.........and this is why I contend N.C. is much more important than IN. (sorry Hoosiers - please don't take it personally).
