Clinton camp rejects deal on Michigan

Remember how Clinton said it was important to get Mi and Fla counted? Well apparently Hillary Clinton isn't happy. Here is the plan they came up with.

The Michigan state party's executive committee voted to submit a proposal to the DNC's Rules and Bylaws Committee, to send 69 delegates for Clinton and 59 for Obama.

Hillary camp rejected it.

Hillary spokesperson Isaac Baker emails over this:

"This proposal does not honor the 600,000 votes that were cast in Michigan's January primary. Those votes must be counted."

So what does this tell you people? That Hillary only wants the popular vote to count not the delegates so that Hillary Clinton can claim victory over the popular vote. Hillary Clinton doesn't care if the Delegates are seated she just wants the popular vote. These two states have been played like fools.

The proposal allocates Michigan's 128 elected delegates: 69 Clinton, 59 Obama.

This splits the difference between the Jan. 15 results supported by the Clinton Campaign, which would create a delegates allocation of 73-55, and the 50-50 split supported by the Obama campaign, which would create a 64-64 allocation of the delegates.

"This resolution meets the main criteria that we set forth for a resolution. It is a negotiated solution that recognizes the results of the January 15th primary while taking into consideration that Obama's name was not on the ballot. This proposal seats a full Michigan delegation and gives all delegates the same voting power," said Mark Brewer, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party.

So the criteria doesn't matter anymore unless it gives Hillary Clinton a victory over Barack Obama.

Clinton’s campaign has maintained that the delegation should be allocated according to the vote in the Jan. 15 primary (73/55) but Obama’s campaign had argued the delegation should be split between the two candidates (64/64) because he was not on the ballot. Clinton won that contest with 55 percent of the vote but most of the other major party candidates, including Obama, had removed their names from the ballot because the state violated national party rules.

Since any plan must be approved by all the players — the state and national parties and both candidates -- it is unclear what will happen now.

Blackmail isn't ruled out.

"CNN has learned that this is an explosive conversation," CNN’s Ed Henry reported Thursday morning. "Three officials say that Havery Weinstein appeared determined to try and buy Hillary Clinton more time in her battle with Barack Obama."

Weinstein’s outburst is just the latest effort from Hollywood heavy hitters backing Clinton to pressure Pelosi on her superdelegate stand. In March, 20 Clinton fundraisers sent Pelosi a scathing letter urging her to repudiate her view on superdelegates. Signers of that letter, who did not include Weinstein, donated $24 million to Democratic causes, according to the Center for Responsive politics.

Pelosi’s and Weinstein’s offices confirmed to CNN that the two had a conversation, but neither would characterize its tone. Henrys’ sources told him that Pelosi was not cowed by the bombastic figure.

"Don’t ever threaten me again," she reportedly said.

This is not about the people anymore. It is about getting Hillary Clinton a victory over Barack Obama. You people have been fooled who ever believed Clinton and her supporters cared about you. I'm sorry you have to hear the truth, but the matter is THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.
