I just called Senator Feinstein's Office

to urge her to step forward and be a leader and announce her support for Senator Obama.
It is time to end Hillary's destructive madness.
Hillary is playing the ultimate race card in an attempt to tout her own electability. The sad result is that she is creating painful divisions that the Civil Rights movement sought to bridge. This is not what the Democratic Party is about! Since she has only a Huckabee-esque route to the Democratic nomination, her end game must be to destroy Senator Obama's chances in order to enhance her chances in 2012. This will lead to George Bush's third term in 2008 and will hurt down ballot candidates.
Senator Clinton is putting her future ahead of the future of the Democratic party. She is creating rifts that may not have time to heal unless we get about it NOW.
Superdelegates like Senator Feinstein do not need to wait to hear from West Virginians or Kentuckians because of the math. There is nothing those voters can tell Senator Feinstein that will change the mathematics. Senator Clinton's continued racially polarized, negative campaigning can only dimish the chances of Democratic victory in November.
Why allow a train wreck to occur if it can be prevented? A true leader sees an adverse outcome and takes the necessary steps to avoid it. Are our leaders so fearful of the Clinton attack machine that they fear to do the right thing? Do they fear being labeled a "Judas" by the Clintons and their attack dog surrogates?
If Democratic leaders, like Senator Feinstein, allow the madness to continue, we must hold them accountable.
As a voter and concerned Democrat, all I can do is call my elected leaders, hold them accountable, and look upon the shameful antics of the Clintons with hope that our real leaders will step forward to end the madness.
