The Democratic party needs a candidate who can win in more than 9 states. The top 4 candidates, who will be quite competitive in several of the 9 states, should not have to drop out of the primaries prematurely just because the media or McAuliffe says so. This is a matter of separating the men from the boys. The Democratic party needs to exhaust the Democratic process and find the strongest candidate of the Final Four.
Mr. McAullife has said the Dems need to set the agenda early, hence they need to unify early. However, what agenda is the GOP going to set before the Dems? The only thing the GOP has to run on are repulsive personal attacks. I really don't think the Dems have to worry about unifying and setting an agenda by the middle of February. Sorry Terry, but some of us don't want to wait until 2008 for Hillary.
