Welp, everything's boarded up, the cars, plants and anything that can be a missle is stuffed in the garage.
Damn, I'm tired. My family's 1/2 asleep or asleep. The cats are hiding. Whatever gift Nature gave them to sense danger coming their way has been diluted in me. The pressure changes have given me a headache. If it weren't for the Weather Network, I'd be out obliviously biking like, oh, say, a certain President.
This morning before we began boarding up the windows & securing items, a red dragon fly rested on the bird feeder. A Monarch on a potato stretched one wing. And the recognizable rounds bands of clouds began pushing north.
It was quite beautiful actually & something to observe. If I had the time to idle around.
I'm hoping you guys are safe where you are, a brew in one hand, a remote in the other, comfortable in your home, your friend's home or wherever you've found shelter.
Keep us posted about your conditions. Looks like Rita's found a better suitor east of Houston. If so, I may go find that dragonfly.
Take care, tk.
