Give Obama Some LOVE Right Here, Baby!

I love living on Kauai. the Garden Isle of paradise-like Hawaii, but I feel a little left out of the political wars raging on the mainland. My only mode of participation is to post diaries on Kos, slap down wingnuts in Comments sections of other sites, and give/raise money for Obama. And when I see disgusting Republican trolls like Candy Crowley and Andrea Mitchell dumping on Obama CONSTANTLY, it pisses me off. I GOTTA FIGHT BACK! And I know a lot of you guys are kicking in $ to Obama already, but I'm urging you to help me here via my own Obama donation page. If you can't spare anything right now, please forward this to others or start your own. I really do need to get involved. My goal is $10,000 for Barack. If by some miracle I fill that one up, I'll start another.
We can't think we've got this one in the bag. Remember, the Republicans got it close enough to steal in 2000 and 2004 and they just might do it again. And DON'T think Obama's spectacular European/Middle East trip is necessarily a big winner for us. There's enough xenophobia in America that it could actually work to Obama's disadvantage. And the corporate media slobs have been giving McCain constant time to rebut and lie about Obama. So the situation is urgent.
This election is close. Key states are excruciatingly so. And there is enough simmering racial hostility in this nation to cause Obama to lose. I feel so helpless here because I'm too far away to canvass in Ohio or Florida. Hell, the states within any kind of decent travel time for me are pretty strong for Obama anyway. :-) And it would make more sense for me to donate the price of the plane ticket and lodging rather than fly anyhow.
So help old Yosef out. My Obama donation page is the best weapon I've got. Please, if you can only chip in $5 that would help. And remember...
