I just posted a sample Daily Memo to
my blog in an effort to work out some formatting issues (still working on some...) and to give my readers a taste of what to expect.
It is not comprehensive, just looking at a few sources, but you get the idea of what it should look like tomorrow.
Below are the first few paragraphs and a link to more.
Daily Memo November 14, 2004 (A sample memo to work out the kinks)
The News
At least 22 killed so far in Fallujah: I am surprised that more has not been made of the timing of the Fallujah offensive. It started less than a week after the election. The timing means all the 'build up' and positive press appeared in the week leading up to the election and zero bad press (casualties) until after the election. Maybe I am seeing this through a particularly partisan lens, but the timing smells political to me. [LAT] Mid-day AP update says at least 31 killed. [AP]
Drug Reform Needed: We are still in the middle of the flu shot shortage. Now, the NYT reports that Merck decided to ignore their own concerns about Vioxx's relationship to heart problems. As if soaring healthcare premiums and preventable flu shot problems were not enough, we now have corporations decided whether or not to look into the health consequences of their products? The Bush administration's record on healthcare could not be worse. Congress and the FDA need to start solving these problems now. [NYT]
