Once again, I was sitting in my Civics class today (I am a junior in New Milford, CT, the red part of the state), and heard a new argument against the direct election of the President. Apparently the voters in the big cities would cancel out voters in the red states. That is why we can't elect our leader based on whose better to a larger amount of voters instead of caring what the undecideds in Ohio care about.
Does this mean that the Republicans are out of the mainstream of most Americans and that we must keep this antiquated system just so that they can stay in power, even if that isn't what most Americans want?
