I wanted to bring your attention the fact that in two days of covering the president's announcement to pursue a constitutional amendment that would permanently mariginalize five to ten percent of the population, NPR's Day to Day (which in case you didn't know is in affiliation with corporate hack online magazine slate.com) not a single gay or lesbian voice has been represented to express how we feel about the prospect of this amendment. Nevermind that the likes of Michelangelo Signorile, Andrew Sullivan, Richard Goodstein, the HRC, NGLTF, and GLAAD are all just a phone call away, Day to Day manages to find an array of straight pundits to parse the political implications of this issue, pollsters to inform us where the American people "really stand," and the princess of darkness herself Congressperson Marilyn Musgrave, who authored the amendment permanently banning gay marriage to educate us all about why this amendment is oh so necessary. Yet not a single gay voice to express the bottomless fury that we feel right now. If you are so inclined, write Day to Day and tell them how you feel :
