Scott McClellan's resignation was of intense interest to me, so I
posted a little something about it on the blog. We're a Google News source and, as very, very occasionally happens, the McClellan post bubbled up to the Google News front page.
I've never had the opportunity to see the blog on the front page because by the time I check the access logs and find a raft of referrals from the site, whatever we posted has already vanished. That was true today as well, but I noticed a bunch of Free Republic referrals coming on the heels of the Google News ones, so I followed them back to see what I'd done that warranted attention from that corner.
What I found was a thread on McClellan's resignation. And in that thread was a screen shot of the Google News front page. And on that screenshot, in all its glory, was this:
I cropped the image and highlighted the offending lines. You can find the full image and the freeper thread here.
The thread includes a lot of discussion about possible McClellan replacements. Nominees included Jack Bauer, Rush, Dennis Miller and Ann Coulter. Miller and Coulter seem to be real crowd favorites, and I have to agree they'd be tremendously entertaining for as long as they lasted.
Some days, getting out of bed is worth every bit of the effort.
