This will be a relatively short diary, but since I don't think this has come up around here yet: the identity of The Eleventh Doctor has just been revealed.
So what the hell am I talking about?
I'm talking about the long running British science fiction show, Doctor Who. David Tennant, who has had the role for the last 3 series, announced at the end of October that he was stepping down from the role after doing several specials this year. He was the tenth actor (officially) to have the role.
And the new doctor is...
Via the BBC's website:
Matt Smith has been named as the actor who will take on the role of TV's most famous time traveler.
He may be the youngest actor to play the Doctor, but Smith has already built up an impressive CV on stage and the small screen.
He's the youngest guy ever to get the role (Peter Davidson was the previous record holder on that count).
I don't know anything about Smith, but I trust some of you will.
Hat tip to Oliver Willis, who picked up on this one.
